LG Front Load WM1815cs Makes loud noise when spinning. Inner tub is loose and seems to bounce making loud noise. Is this more than a bearing problem?

The outer tub and the bearing will need replacing as by replacing only the bearing will be a short lived repair as it will go the same way.

I have a Maytag top loader FAV6800AWW. I changed the clutch assembly about 6 months ago. Now it does not spin fast and makes a clicking noise. The clothes are still wet at the end of the cycle. Do I...

I feel you need fix the root cause a Leaky Tub Seal.

Google this

FAV6800A/FAV9800A Outer Tub bearing replacement

See what is involved and iff you decide to go forward I will help on that forum. This forum is just to difficult to work in with no edit feature.

The Clicking sound may be a broken Large Wrap spring.

Place the washer with a load in the wash basket start a Spin Only cycle and release the washer top jus high enough to observe wash basket Spin action. There may be none to very little. If you drop the Clutch Pulley out I believe you will find much rust. You have to replace that tub seal and I would do a complete outer tub rebuild. Without replacing the Clutch Pulley around $60 for bearings, Tub and Seal Tranny O-ring.

My washing machine makes a grinding noise when it is spinning. It drains alright and seems to work ok, but I`m afraid the grinding noise could lead to bigger problems.

Stone,

All owners are heading toward this issue. I feel your FAV6800A or FAV9800A is at the end of service lifew for the Tub Seal

If you open the washer lid and spin the Washer CCW and hear the noise (Outer Tub Bearing noise) then it's time to role up your sleeves.

Do you have basic DIY mech. skills and do you want to save your $1K machine?

If so Google Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW

In the Sticky: Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW 5 post down you will find a link to the Service Manual. You absolutely need the Service Manual to DIY issues with the machine. It's not the best SM but will get you started. I also have repair post in that sticky to help with the most common issues that I have helped owners with. I'm an owner of a FAV6800A top load machine.

Google this FAV6800A/FAV9800A Outer Tub bearing replacement to see what is involved in doing an Outer Tub Rebuild.

Good Luck

Machine makes noise during the spin cycle. Sounds like a bad tub support bearing.

your rear tub support bearing "lip-Seal" has gone out and you need to replace the Lip-Seal and at least the inner bearing,I normally do them both, because it takes a long time to remove the drum and rear access pulley to replace them and if theyre rusted it can take up to 4 hours to replace them,so just do them both and the seal

Can i lubricate the bearing on my wahsher???

No the bearing is seal and you can't get any grease into it if you here the bearing rollers mean that the seal is bad and the washer is washing the grease out yo will have to replace the back of the outer tub but I would make sure it is not coming from the drain pump first good luck hope it is the drain pump the other job will be expensive

Frigidaire front loading washer makes a clinking noise

It sounds like your tub bearings are starting to go bad. Mine sounded like airplane taking off. Once the seal goes bad, water tends to migrate into the bearing cavity and flush the grease out of the bearings and then they wear quickly.
You have to completely remove the tub assembly to take it apart. Some say get a new washer, but I only paid $60 for the 2 bearings and a seal from a bearing house. They are even cheaper online.
You may as well try and fix it, worst case the junk yard doesn't care if it's in pieces when you bring it to them. I have no idea what an appliance repairman would charge to fix it.
If I remember right the seal is a 80mmx40mmx10mm metric seal. I found a rubber coated one from SKF I believe. The bearings should be 6306-2rs and 6307-2rs, but I would not buy anything till you have it apart. The bearings knock out easily.
INFO-Mine had -2z bearings installed which are only shielded bearings. The -2rs bearings hold up much better to water exposure in case the new seal leaks in the future.

If you want the exact seal part number, I can get it off my paperwork, Just write back.
I saw somewhere on an appliance blog that had step by step pictures of the procedure.

Washer problems

Open the door, pull back the door seal then grab the plastic outer tub with one hand and the inner basket with the other hand. If you can lift on the basket and wiggle up and down, the tub bearing is bad.

Maytag MAV7200 Washer......needs seal and bearing kit

I HAD TO REPLACE THE SPIN BEARING ON MY MAYTAG ATLANTIS WASHER MAV9750,
it was making a loud noise during sin cycle, like a bad bearing would
make, jet engine kind of noise, i did replace the bearing and made a web
site with pictures on how to do it, since it almost takes all the parts
out, it will show you how to get to most of the parts in the machine, and
i also included links for downloading the repair manual, and parts at
