Order part #W10017820 (do this first before you open up the range). While you are waiting for the part to arrivedown load the parts list from kitchenaid.com. When you have the part, Shut offpower to the range. Then remove part 9762612Vent, Center (pull the oven door toward you, you will see four screws). Before you proceed, place a stool with booksor a **** of paper or what ever it takes to equal the height of the bottom ofthe control panel. Then remove part 4457249Face, Control Panel (two screws, right and left, under panel). DO NOT DROP PANEL. The panel is connected via wires so please be careful. Set the panel on the raised surface that youcreated. Replace part W10017820. Replace control panel. Replacecenter vent. Restore power to unit. RP appears in display. Set clock. You're good to go.

Oven not working. gas on stove top is working. not sure if gas is not getting to oven or if there is another problem causing the oven not to heat up.

Check the pilot light assembly.Make sure the pilot is lit.If it looks good the thermocouple may be bad. If the pilot is lit,I would call for the repairman.

Oven wont work but range top does

Your range has a small 3"x1"x1" metal box with a gas valve going into it placed right behind the broiler flame tube; this gas safety valve alows the gas to enter the "pilot" tube to be lit by an piezio electric ignitor: that is the clicking you hear when you try to operate the oven. this gas valve needs to be replaced as, it is not opening to feed gas to the ignitor. an appliance parts store will have the oven gas valve; it just screws into place. be sure to turn off the gas and, remove power to the range before you do any work on it.

I just got my (new to me) pre-1990 Wolf 36'' range connected (by a certified pro). 4 burners, 12'' fry top/charbroiler/cheesemelter thingie on left, 4 burners on right, 29'' oven - propane. It has not been...

the oven pilot has 2 setting first setting is for you to light small flame, should not be all yellow if it is it has a dirty orifice inside the pilot hood, you can remove this by disconnecting the pilot line from the hood and removing orifice for cleaning, just rub it with a cloth.once clean and replaced you light pilot and check it out. if its ok turn on oven and secondary pilot will ignite that why it got bigger!! this heats a flame sensor to allow 100% safty vavle to open to let gas into burner so yuo can cook.

Have a Viking range, gas top, electric oven, neither work.

Check connector block where electric is brought into stove for loose or burnt wires. Check Breaker in house power box. Push the breaker firmly to off and then return to On position. Read owner's manual to see if ignitor circuit has a fuse and check said fuse.

Oven will not work unless range is lit

You probably have a neutral return that is open. By turning on the stove top you are completing the path of return for the bake element. Work back from the element (unplug the oven first!!!) and check continuity back to the plug. Again, make sure you unplug the darn thing from the AC outlet!

Good luck!
