If the drain pump runs on and on it will either be because there has been a leak in the base of the appliance and has activated a float that inturn activates the switch when the float is raised and the appliance will do this although it cannot empty this way. Or if you have a look under your filter you may see a black grill or something that looks like that. This is a diaphram that detects the amount of water in the tub and tells the appliance when it has emptied and then the appliance can move on to the next stage. If this is blocked with normally fat residue the diaphram will stick and stay in the one position so the appliance will always think it is full of water...that is why it will keep pumping because ot thinks it is still full.

I have a Samsung 8kg top loader and had to change the drain pump. The new pump just runs constantly while the power is on.

The old drain pump has taken the control board out with it & it's now stuck in the drain pump cycle. You will need to replace the main pcb to fix this one.

Ok i am new at this how do i get a wire from battery to fuel pump?

Why do you need to run a Wire? If you run a HOT wire to your Pump, then you will have a constant drain on your Battery. Will Continue to run and cause a fire in an accident.

If you can tell me what you are trying to do, I will help you do it correctly and SAFELY

Keeps running

Hello, The first thing that you would have to be able to tell is which cycle of the dishwasher is it that keeps running. Most of the time when this happens the unit keeps running on the drain cycle in which the unit either detects a leak in the system that the pump is trying to clear the water from the unit leaking water out of the machine. Another reason would be if you had a clogged drain line, In order to check for an issue with a clogged drain line you would first go under you sink. You would then disconnect the drain line to the exit water port either on your disposal,or sink piping. You would then visually inspect the inside of the exit port where the drain line connects to. Alot of times I find that this area does get gunked up with debris from the disposal. After assuring that this area was functioning properly you would then have to de-install the dishwasher from under your counter in order to check the rest of the drain line as well as the pump itself. You can check the rest of the drain line by disconnecting the line from the pump cleaning this connection end point and blowing air through the line which would tell you if there were any clogs in the line at all. If there were no clogs in the drain line you would next look at the pump itself and have to assure that the impellar inside the pump is spining. If it were not then you would replace the drain pump. I will await your reply as to which cycle you think that the unit is constantly running in before further diagnosing your issue at hand. I await your reply
Thank you

The water just constantly runs and does not fill

Hi just read your posting. Now by the information you have in your posting it tells me that while your machine is filling it is also draining the water out of the machine? Is that correct? Is your machine draining water into your laundry sink or somewhere else? These machines have 2 types of pump. Please look under your machine to the front right and see if you can see the pump.It should have a red or black fan attached to it.The other type of pump has no fan. Please reply with additional information on the type of pump and where it is draining to and I can help you rectify this fault. It sounds like your diverter valve is stuck in the drain out position. When your machine fills it should be in the recirculating position.Looking forward to your reply.

Drain pump runs constantly:Error code E02

Suggestions: First see that the exit hose behind your machine is inserted at a particular height, ie about 3 feet above ground level, then into the standpipe in your wall. If things dont work plug off the wall, open up behind, you will see a thin pipe coming down from the pressure switch to the drain area. Disconnect this pipe carefully from the top and blow into it, it should be free. If blocked clear, if broken or damaged change. Refit carefully.

either the pump is malfunctioning or it is clogged. either way remove the front of the washer and set it to drain. if you hear the pump motor or see the little fan spinning you pump is running. now mpty the washer of water and remove the hose from the pump and see if anything is stuck in it.

one of two options: 1. Door lock circuit, Check wiring and test operation of door lock switch 2. Overflow Condition If the Overflow contact on the pressure switch is Closed for more than 60 seconds and Overflow condition will occur. In an Overflow condition, the Door will remain locked, and the Drain Pump will run constantly, even if PAUSE/CANCEL is pressed twice and the Display is cleared. god luck Unplug the unit to service. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or inked. Check Wire Harness connectors to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU) Check/Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects Check for Drain Pump Failure Check the Inlet Valve for proper shut off Check the Pressure switch for proper operation
