A couple things you need to check for your refrigerator water leak. First, if the water is actually leaking from the plastic tube for the water dispenser, and not from the flapping door that opens to allow ice to flow through door. If water is dripping from the flapping door, this could be ice melting, are you having any freezer temperature problems, is ice cream or bread soft ? If temperatures are fine, inspect the ice in the bucket, is it in clumps or one solid block of ice? If you have either this problem or the water is dripping from the plastic tube for the water dispenser, you likely have a problem with your water valve for either the ice maker or the water dispenser. Either way, both valves are part of one assembly, and both have to be replaced.
The other thing you need to check is that source water valve you shut off. Since there is no pump in a refrigerator, only those valves, the water that is leaking out of the fridge has to still be coming into the refrigerator. In other words, either that source valve is not shut off completely or it too is bad, or you shut the wrong source valve off, possibly for your house humidifier.

I need to replace the hot water handle

A picture, model, or brand of the type of faucet you have will be helpful as there are only three types of faucets. One hole, two hole, and three hole faucets. The one hole ones have two types: a single hot or cold, or a mixer valve to combine hot and cold into a single faucet. Each have a surface mount or wall mount version.

They all follow the same similar installation method. Turn off water supply. Unscrew supply lines from supply to underside of the faucet. a Plumber's wrench is needed or a spanning crescent wrench to remove the supply lines.

-Unscrew whole assemble from the sink.
-insert new one into the same hole as old one.
-from underneath, install the new faucet using the supplied hardware.
-Use plumbers tape (Teflon tape). It's often a white or pink silicon tape around the threads prior to screwing the supply lines back in. Re-connect the supply line.

-Open hot water faucet to maximum. Slowly turn on the water supply. Watch for leaks and drips. If any close the water supply and undo the supply leads and apply more Teflon tape.

- to apply tape. Start at the end and pull tightly, wind the tape into the threads in the direction of the turn. Do not wind in opposite direction.

-Try to turn on water again, turn slowly until it is at maximum, watch for leaks and drips.

-now slowly close the faucet and continue watching for leaks and drops.

If the faucet is fully closed and there is no leaks, you've done a good job... basic plumbing 101.

Now if your pipes are solder types and not screwed in supply line, and you're not confident with a torch or have little experience, ask for help from a friend who has some torch knowledge or hire a plumber. It is simple to do but requires a lot more steps than simply screwing in and unscrewing supply lines.

I believe your problem is caused by a leaking hose or fitting for the water dispenser
Pay close attention to items # 11 and 19 on the diagram labeled Refridgerator door parts
Try turning off the water supply to the dispenser and see if the problem is resoleved... if so you know thats where the problem is

Solaris Model #06544860 leaking under the sink. How do I remove and how do I figure out exactly what is leaking?

The first thing I would do is to locate source of the leak. Look carefully at faucet when it is on and see if you have any water leaking from areator and running back down the underside of spout and leaking around base of faucet, also see if you have any leaks around handle. If the leak is from the areator you can just replace it and not have to remove the faucet. when you check under sink on faucet supply lines make sure they aren't leaking at that point. I would use paper towels or rags to wipe everything dry under faucet and let it set for 1/2 hour then check again. If it.s still dry run some water and use both hot and cold water seperatly, checking underside in between. If you determine that leak is coming from top side and leaking thru. Shut off water supply valves if available if not shut off supply to house, make sure water is off before proceeding. Disconnect supply lines from faucet,Remove retaing nuts on either side of base, and remove washers. Remove faucet and check for any obvious faults. If you think it was leaking around base get a small tub of plumbers putty. Most hardware stores stock it. Remove a golf ball sized portion or larger and knead in your hands until it is warm and pliable. Press into place in faucet base. Continue doing this until it's full. Reinstall plastic or rubber base gasket and put faucet back in place Put washers and retaing nuts back on a tighten till snug. Center faucet where you want it and tighten securely. Scrape off excess putty with knife point and wipe with paper towels till clean. Hook up supply lines and turn water back on. Check for leaks and good luck. Thank you

LEAKING WATER

The plastic line has cracked at the water valve. See this page item 804:

http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=206380&diagram_id=21040526#d21040526

It is a matter of turning off the water supply, removing the attaching nut and compression fitting then cut off the line... transfer the inner sleeve nut and brass outer compression ring to the new hose then reinstall the line onto the water valve. If it is leaking at a water filter connection the repair is the same as above.

Turn on the water supply when you finish.

I have a Kohler Forte Single handle faucet, and I'm seeing leaking down below the sink in the cabinet. I tried reconnecting the Kohler piece to where the water comes out, but now it's even worse. It looks...

Turn off your water supply to the sink the disconnect the supply lines to the faucet. Reconnect supply lines making sure to use plumbers pipe joint compound of teflon tape. I've found teflon tape to be better. When installing the supply lines make sure that the threads aren't crossed and the retaining nut is snug.

How to install supply lines for Grohe k4 faucet

I hope this helps.
Step11Turn off the water supply. You'll find a shut-off valve under your kitchen sinkmag-glass_10x10.gif. Once the water is turned off, open up the kitchen faucets to allow the water remaining in the pipes to drain way. Step2Catch the drips by placing a bucket under the hot water supply line, located on the left side of your sink. Even a minimum of water can cause a mess and be potentially damaging. Step3Use a wrench to remove the compression nut that secures the hot water supply line. Let the disconnected section fall into the bucket. Use the wrench to loosen and remove the nut at the other end of the line and remove it as well. Step4Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the cold water supply line. Step5Replace the cold water supply line. Hand-tighten the nuts on both ends, then use the wrench to tighten the nuts completely. Repeat the process with the hot water supply line. Step6Turn on the water supply and test for leaks

Faucet Attachment Leaks

If your dishwasher leaks, check these:Main tub seal
Door gasket or seal
Water-inlet valve
Hoses

Main tub seal
Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you. But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the entire pump and motor assembly.

The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher, remove the:

1. Lower rack
2. Spray arm
3. Spray arm support
4. Wash/drain impellers

Then pry the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal
Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten or repair/replace these as necessary.

The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher, and replace the valve.

Hoses
Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.
