Question about HP Photosmart C5180 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I am having problems getting my HP C5180 All In One to print. Somehow when I originally installed it with the help of an HP Tech it installed a HP C5180, a HP C5100, a HP C5100 (Copy 1) and a HP C5100 (Copy 2).
I have Windows Vista. How do I unistall the printers and reinstall it.
Go to "control panel" select "printers and faxes". Right clicking on the printer that you are using will allow you to select it as 'default printer', 'delete printer', 'rename printer', etc. If the printer you are using is there and is not check marked, select as default. Check to see if it now works. (you may have to restart computer) If it already is the default , delete printer. If you feel the software is ok and want to try to reinstall, you must first turn off the printer and remove the usb cable. The software will tell you when it is ok to plug your printer into the computer. If you do it to soon, Vista will try to assign its own driver. Which may be you original problem. Isn't vista fun?
