Toshiba M115-3094 start up problems

I keep trying to start my laptop and a menu pops up with 5 options: Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Last known working Configuration and Start up windows regularly. I've tried all 5 of the options and none of them will work, so I can't even get to the desktop. Does anyone know how to fix it? I really need the files on my computer otherwise I would completely uninstall and reinstall windows. If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!

Okay it sounds like you need to reinstall windows. However, doing so will erase everything on your hard drive. So we need to get that data off your hard drive. You can do this either by purchasing an internal hard drive to usb cable and hooking it up to another computer or by booting with a bootable linux distro, connecting a flash drive and copying the info over that way. Once you have the data safe, you can try booting from your XP disc and try the repair option; this will remove the windows files and leave your data in tact but you should really back it up first.

Also you may want to run a chkdsk on the drive; that may help solve the problem.

What you can do is you can try setting your computer to do a system restore in safemode

1. Shutdown the computer wait for 5 seconds and Turn the computer back on
u
2. the minute that you see the Toshiba logo pops up keep on hitting the F8 key like a typewritter
3. It will give you a black screen with white writtings that says "Windows Advance Options Menu"
4. Highlight using the up or down arrow key on Safe Mode Press Enter
5. Login your Windows password
6. Click Start --> Search Programs or Files and type System Restore
7. Select the Recommended Restore point when the computer is working keep on hitting Next and you are Set

I have a toshiba laptop & half the keys on the keyboard won't work

Try to go first to Safe Mode.

Bring up the "Start" menu. Select the "Shut Down" option and then click "Restart."

Wait for the Toshiba Satellite A105 laptop to begin its restart procedure. Press the "F8" key at regular intervals (every 3-4 seconds) when the Toshiba logo pops up on the screen.

Continue tapping the "F8" button until the advanced Windows options menu appears. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of advanced Windows options.

Highlight the option labeled "Safe Mode." Press the "Enter" key and wait for the operating system to load in safe mode.

On Safe Mode try to use the keys that are not working if it's woking it's a software problem and you need to have a System Restore for the laptop.

If it's still not working go to BIOS Settings of the laptop try to reset it to default settings.

Hit the "Power" button to turn on the computer. Press the F2 key on the keyboard. This must be done prior to the operating system loading; if the Windows OS logo has popped up, it is too late. Boot into Windows, restart the computer, and try again.

Pressing F2 on a Toshiba laptop takes you directly into the BIOS, and any settings can now be changed.

If you have successfully entered the BIOS Phoenix press F9 there will be an option that will pop out after pressing F9 the choose yes, after that press F10 there will be an option that says "Save and Quit." This will save any changes you've made, exit out of the BIOS, and restart the computer. Choose yes again, after that process the laptop will boot up now to your Windows Screen.

Try to use again the keys that are not working, if it's still not working definitely that's a hardware problem, you need to contact Toshiba Technical Support here's the phone number

800-247-7777

to assist you further with this problem or you can drop your laptop to a nearest Authorize Service Provider for Toshiba near in your place.

Hope this helps. :-)

When i turn it my eee pc on it pops up to where it says windows and thats as far as it will but it will only load up in safe mode

Try restarting your notebook and hit the "f8" key after you see the first screen come up. Keep hitting the F8 key until you see a menu that says "start in safe mode" start in safe mode with networking......
Start in last known good configuration....Start windows normally.

Try using Start in last known good configuration.

Hopefully, that will solve the problem that is hanging up your windows from starting.

Hi There, try booting in safe mode to download your photos to a flash drive or cd. When you first turn on laptop, and see the curser upper left side of screen, keep pushing "f8" to enter safe mode boot. Select "safe mode with networking" and continue on to save pics. Good Luck...
