Remove the head unit from the rack. you will find a fuse at the rear. I might have lown. Replace with a new fuse and place in the rack. Now it should be good to go.

Did you make sure you have no shorted or grounded speakers or speaker wires? Make sure you don't have a bad speaker also. If everything checks out, you may have a bad internal output ic.

I just installed my lightly used alpine cdA 105.the radio plays on all speakers but when I try the cd or iPod it only plays on one speaker. Any thoughts.

are you using an amplifier? if so, you may be using the blue wire (antenna remote turn on) instead if the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on) to turn the amplifier on. the antenna remote turns off when leaving tuner mode.

When i turn my car on, the head unit doesn't turn on automatically so i have to use the power button. all the preset stations get reset too.

the unit is most likely not installed correctly, make sure the yellow wire has 12v at all times and the red wire has 12v only when the acc or ign is on

My alpine cd player said error and now it wont put out sound

if you spliced the wires then two of them may have touched somehow this will cause a short out to the speakers and to the deck take it out and check the ground constant and all of the speaker wires to make sure that they are all seperated and connected correctly.;

Dont know where black wire pluggs in

A black wire is a ground wire and most likely it should be connected to a good ground source like the metal support for the dash.

Alpine cda 9884 has no sound in cd or ipod mode

actually, chrysler/dodge has factory Infinity sound systems installed. The nice part about these systems is that you dont have to bypass the amplifiers in order to put a new radio in, but simply power up the amp by hooking up the amp turn on wire at the harness. The alpine should have 2 blue wires coming off of the back, one that is solid, the other with a white stripe. The one that is solid only has 12v when the fm/am radio is on (used for power antenna) but cuts off when other sources are used (cd,aux,ipod). My guesses are, you have the amp wire on the vehicle harness (blue) tied into this wire, instead of the BLUE/WHITE wire on the alpine which has 12v as long as the radio is on. i hope this solves your problem, 9 times out of 10 on a chrysler this is it.

Alpine cda-9811 is not accepting amp as external amplifier?

The signal should go from the head unit to the amp to the subs. Someone must not have wired the subs correctly through the amp, or amp to the cd player..

CDs and Ipod wont play with Alpine CDA-9885

The Alpine has two tigger wires when it turns on. One is an AMP TURN ON wire (blue/white) and a PWR ANT wire (blue) and that wire only comes on when using the radio or an optional HD radio unit ... When it was installed/connected . someone hooked your amp turn on wires for your "full range amps" to the PWR ANT wire. And the sub amp trigger is either hooked correctly to the AMP TURN ON WIRE or somewhere else, it probably shouldn't be... Check it. Amp triggers should all be to the blue/white wire from your alpine. Warning: Alpine trigger wires, are very easy to mess up they supply a very limited amount of power.

No sound (Alpine CDA-9826)

Is this a new installation or did it just start happening without anyone changing any wiring? If it is a new installiation make sure you have the remote turn on connected to the remote turn on wire from the radio(blue and white) and not the power antenna wire (blue). The blue wire will turn off when you switch to cd while the blue and white will not.
