Well technically, yes, however you need to sure the camera is compatible with the size of the card, a lot aren't!
so long as the card is compatible though, yes you will get increased recording time.
Double check with Fuji's support just incase!

good luck! =]

I have a Fuji FinePix A 205 camera and replaced the 16mb card that came with the camera with a 256mb card. I can take lots more photos and SHOULD be able to record a longer movie but can unfortunately only...

I don't know what manual you're reading but the camera will only record 80 seconds at the lowest resolution. This is a very old camera that still uses the now extinct XD card. If movies really interest you, consider getting a new camera. The new models have literally hundreds of new features that I'm sure you will really like.

My Fuji finepix 2800z uses batteries up in seconds. Works fine otherwise and is ok with DC. Shame as it is such a good camera. Any ideas why and if it can be fixed? Thanks

Wow, these cameras work the best with rechargeable type batteries the Alkaline batteries will just die before you get 50 pictures. If you are using the LCD screen all the time it's a power hungry hog and will kill the best of batteries quickly.

You should program the camera to auto shut off in 2 minutes, review time should be about 1 minute and the camera should be in sleep mode or turned off between pictures to conserve as much power as possible.

I use a Fuji S100fs camera a lot for a walk about, documentary, time laps and generally shooting and can get about an hour of continues use from one battery and about 190 frames.

Understandable instructions for using finepix s100

Here is a link (I've tested it to work) for the PDF file of 182 pages of the FinePix S100fs owners manual

Finepix S100fs manual - FinePix S100FS Owner's Manual

You might have to copy and past this into your browser.

I have one of these cameras and like it, I also use it for a back up camera for my Canon system

We took pictures on our Fujifilm finepix S100 in raw format. We now cannot download these pictures to our mac computer. Help please. Our camera is a finepix s100fs

Raw files of any type can be a problem if you don't have a program to open them but, they should download to the computer the same as a jpg file format. Are you attempting to download from the camera to the computer or do you have a card reader plugged into a USB port? Image software such as Photoshop has the ability to open and work with RAW files also with the S100fs when it was bought is a "FinePixViewer" and a program to be able to edit the files. I can't use the Fuji RAW editor because it clashed with another program and I had to remove it. I use PhotoShop CS3 for my RAW files from the Fuji S100fs. Aside from all this it shouldn't stop you from creating a file folder for your image in "Documents" and placing those images in there for future use or editing. If you can download jpg then RAW should be no different.

I have two sd cards that are brand new on is a pq1 4GB sd hc and the other is a pny optima 2GB sd when I put them inmy camera it says filesys e00100 what is it?

I own a Nikon D5000, that has a 'pqi 4GB SD HC' memory card inside.Within this camera is also something called movie mode, in other words I can record short movies. Now here is the problem, Nikon says how much I can record on the memory card, depends on the speed the memory card records. According th them, I can only record 5 minutes on a 2GB memory card. Does that sound right to you. P-l-e-a-s-e I need help in understanding this.
If this is true,......what side memory card (HD if possible) would I need to record 30 minutes in the movie mode. Thank you so much for your help.

When i shoot a video n play it......d sound doesn't play...its only the video that plays...n how can i extend d shooting time...as now i cn shoot only for a minute...

The Fuji A500 doesn't record sound only silent movies.

To get longer movies, insert an XD card with greater capacity. I'm not sure what the max size is but 1 GB is compatible.

Problem with memory card

Hi,
your camera can only read so many partitions
( File Allocation Tables )
( partitions are sections of the total volume )
Like slices of a cake.
which equals 4 GB, total.

so it will never be able to read more than this.

Like FAT32 on a Pc, will read 32GB
but you could have a 100GB hard drive in the machine, still reads 32GB only, so even on a PC 68GB would be wasted.

The file format on the camera can not change,

So you are stuck with 4GB max reading.

Hope this halps
Regards
Richard.
