Inglis Gas Dryer... mercy me?

Sounds like what you said. Time for a motor. The motor has an internal overload and will shut the machine off if the motor runs hot.

I have a gas Amana Heavy duty dryer LG5309w it starts and after 5 minutes it shuts off...any suggestions?

If the dryer has a sensor dry function, look inside the drum and locate the moisture detector. It'll probably look like two metals bare. Clean it real good with rubbing alcohol. If that doesn't fix your problem you'll need to work on the dryer.

My GE Profile DPSE810 Electic Dryer has started making a scraping noise when the drum rotates. What could be causing the scraping? It makes the noise even if I take out all the clothes and there is nothing...

Told by several GE Service Techs that the noise is normal metal expansion & nothing can be done. Anyone else have this issue?
First dryer in over 40 years we ever heard this type of noise.

GE GAS DRYER DDE7500G

Can you push the drum up and down. If so then the main bearing has gone bad and needs to be replaced. This is the only metal on metal rubbing you will get unless the machine is off balanced. This is caused usually by doing to heavy of loads and wearing out the bearing

GE DSXH436V1WW heavy duty large cloths get caught

This dryer doesn't have rollers at the front of the drum, it uses a felt rub strip between the drum and the front cover. You'll need to replace the rub strip. It's easy to do but you'll need to get the special high-temp adhesive.
