Hi
It snaps on. There are alignment pins that you line up and push in until it clicks in place.

My steam knob also popped off. I tried everything to put it back inside, but it won't go in and now it won't even make espresso. Any suggestions?

When the knob popped off of my daughter's machine, the problem turned out to be a clogged steam wand. This is a safety feature because it relieves pressure. If you don't clear out milk every time after steaming by putting the tip into water and turning on the steam, it will become clogged. This can be cleared with a pin - - put a rag underneath because some foul-smelling rotten milk will come out of the steaming wand. After you do this you should be able to follow instructions above about popping the knob back on.

The steam function has stopped working, I regularly descale, but it just stopped working all of a sudden. Any ideas how to fix it?

Try this, using a paper clip make sure that the end of the wand is not clogged. If not then open steam wand and then push the knob in, if that works then the valve stem needs to be replaced, if it doesn't, can you get hot water from the valve, if yes then the thermostat or the element on the steam booster boiler is damaged.

Solis Palazzo Descaling (?) Problem? Please Help!

Hi
He has the first part correct, but when you rinse the machine with fresh water the machine needs to quit on its own and you will know this when the descale light is off, but you will have a flashing green light and a steady red light over the water drop. Refill the water tank, the close the steam knob and then open it again. This will clear the red light and then the machine will start heating. IMPORTANT on any automatic machine is when the water tank is off the machine don't do anything with the beans. A chip of bean in the water receptacle can be a big problem for the machine.

Machine will turn on but that is it

Hi,

The light 20 is power control light, 26 light if any problems are indicated on the machine and should only light if there are any trouble with the machine. 22 should light when the temperature is right.

Try to open the steam knob and make a cup of water.

Water won't flow through the tubes

You might need to prime the pump manually since the machine has been moved.
directions:
Fill water tank.
Turn power on.
Open the steam knob all the way.
Press the coffee button.
Put a cup under the steam pump wand.
Wait until you see a steady flow of water and no air.
When you see the flow of water, close the steam knob.
Turn off the coffee button.
Now the machine should be ready to brew an espresso.
If that does not work you can contact the service center for more suggestions:
