Just opened our son's Christmas gift, an InFocus LP 250 projector. We plugged in the projector (trying different power outlets in the house) but the projector doesn't turn on -- no fan, light or other indication of "life." Sounds like same problem as previously described.

Then the problem must be in the internal power supply circuit. It's possible it may have a bad fuse or some other component may have failed.

Optoma HD80 flashing blue lights

Sound like the original color wheel for Optoma HD80 is bad.

If the unit has been moved when hot.

If not, try un-plugging the unit for a few minutes and re-connect.

Hope this helps

No light and some fan noise

Take the top off and verify that all of the fans are on, there are 2 behind the power supply and one behind the engine. If the unit lights up when the top is off, then the wires above the dual fan assy may be putting pressure on the fan frame while the top is on causing one to rub or not turn at all. If this is the case, unplug the power and try to route the cables thru the notch in the top of the fan assy a little better. If any fan isn't working, the unit will not light. This could be due to a main board problem or a bad fan itself. If the colorwheel is stuck, the unit will light and then shut off. Also, depending on the age of the projector, if there isn't a green wire going from the front of the main board to the bottom of the power supply ballast, the power supply will need to be replaced or upgraded by a technician.

Optoma HD 70 turns on with lamp and temo soiled lights

Asher fadida and alll,

The issue:
solid red error light?
HD70 "die's" after few min with strage noise?
flickers different colors before complete self shutdown?

well try this....

Before replacing your bulb, fan or any other component try first cleaning your optoma realy good!! HD70 doesnt comes with any kind of filter so you can imagine the amound of dust can be.
The most importent thing is to blow away any dust from your color wheel + the sensor attached to it .

for farther troubleshoting clean your fan's.
there are 2 fan's insinde the HD70.

probably the most problems will be solved by cleening the color wheel!!
if the problem is not solved ,chack the lemp and the fans if they work properlly.

For fan replacing:
Fan Part number: GM1207PKVX-A

Dramatic increase in fan noise

Hi there

If you place your hand on the machine and you can actually feel the vibration , you might be looking at a faulty Colourwheel.

If not , try cleaning the fans by blowing it out. If the problem still occurs you might have to replace the fans.
