You go to http://vacuumsuperstore.com/F7205900parts.html and order it online, or maybe have you local service shop order one for you.

How to service a G series Kirby

First you will need to make a list of parts that you will need to get. Definitely get a new belt (dont use an old one that has been laying around for years they crack, split, and fail quickly) take the brush roll nozzle off and inspect the fan for chips, and cracks around the center. Replace if necessary. Next remove the brush roll, it must spin freely replace if it feels tight or makes noise. Now as long as the vacuum worked before, those three things are what you could need (plus any broken parts). Now that we have the parts we can get started. remove the bag, handle, scuff plate and cord. there is a release button for the handle. The plastic mini emptor on the bottom of the bag rotates away from the body and lifts off. And the scuff plate pops off using a flat head screw driver in the center slot and prying up. You will see 2 screws under the scuff plate and two screws in front on the top, remove those 4 screws and lift top cover off. you will now see the inner workings of the motor.
If you need to replace your fan take out the other screws in the front, there is two under the top cover, two towards the bottom, and one more near the center. hit the bottom of the aluminum cover with a rubber mallet til it pops off. there is a spot near the back of the motor where you can insert a wrench to hold the motor shaft. use a pick to twist off the front spindle (left hand threads opposite from normal) remove and replace fan. use a small bead of liquid gasket to seal the compartment and install screws. (it helps to have a piece of 2 x 4 to set the machine on and install the front cover.
Now we will move to the motor compartment. First, vacuum out as much of the fuzz and dust out of the inside as possible being careful not to disconnect any of your wires. You can also blow it out make sure to blow through the motor to get all the carbon dust out. The cleaner you get everything inside the better. Next inspect your motor carbon brushes and commutator for wear. If that is good spin the front shaft, listen for bearing noise and feel for stiffness. If the bearings feel bad then you should rebuild. inspect the transmission gear, motor gear, and belt for wear. replace if necessary. (kirby recommends that you replace all pieces at once because if you only replace one, the worn parts will damage the motor and transmission internal parts) Now apply some 3 in 1 oil to the top slide where the handle connects. Do Not Disassemble! there are way bearings in the assembly and if its not assembled right the self propelled system will not work properly. Move the assembly back and forth to ensure that all of the way bearings receive oil. Now you can reinstall the top cover, cord, scuff plate, and the bag. The brush roll nozzle, clean all hair and twine off brush roll if you are using the same one. Slide a new belt over the brush roll. make sure to clean and wipe out the nozzle. The brush roll can only be installed one way, one of the end caps are bigger. They should always be numbered with 1 to 3 new brush roll gets set on one and you can rotate higher numbers for more wear. install brush roll rotate belt hook and install nozzle. Plug it in and take it for a test drive. You have now successfully serviced your Kirby Generation series vacuum. Kirby recommends this be done once a year.

How do you remove the lower handle?

Check the clean water holding tank. I had this problem and found that was a crack near the outlet on the bottom of the tank. I replaced the tank and resolved the problem. I have taken this machine apart several times, if the tank is not the problem with yours, check the water tube.

How do I open the vac to check the belt and clean the hose ? I followed the link and it makes no sense to me, see details

The power nozzle refers to the beater bar located inside the bottom of the brush or the machine depending on if you have an upright or central vac unit. Lay it down or turn it over, you'll see the brush in the bottom, that's the power nozzle. Remove the cover screws and cover and replace the beater and/or belt as needed. Take images as you disassemble to make sure you get it all back in correctly.

How do I get my carpet shampooer to spray wate

If your machine was designed to spray hot water, detergent cleaner or a combination of both, chances are the filter/strainer inside the reservoir may have become clogged, the feed tube may be twisted and pinched closed or the spray nozzle may be clogged from various contaminants. Try and get a look down inside the container where you fill it with fluids and see what you can determine, also check the spray tip or nozzle where the fluids are supposed to be expelled for a clog. If the small service pump is the culprit, servicing or replacing the pump will be a bit more involved and parts are available from most manufacturers websites these days. Hope this is helpful :)

The wand that connects to the power head at the powerhead connection broke(sheared off) fine crack

Hello,

Unfortunatley the Wand for your Miele is sold as an entirely assembly only. Miele does not sell pieces of this wand separately. In order to fix your wand you'll need to purchase a new wand assembly complete.

The wand on your Miele is the Miele SET210 Wand. Here's a link if you need to purchase one;
http://www.govacuum.com/miele-172.html

I would probably guess that your wand broke off right at the bottom where it connects into the power nozzle. Unfortunately this is the weakest part of the wand as you can probably see. The wand narrows into a thinner plastic here, and I've seen a few wands crack off right on the bottom part.

Please feel free to request a repair clarification if you have any questions about how to repair your vacuum.

On the bottom of the Fantom Fury where it states: & quote; The United States and Canada utility patent....& quote; Now go to the far right end of this statement (the end opposite the spring, well I have a crack in the plastic which, when toggled, moves the entire plastic underside of the vacuum to move. In other words, I think I need an entire bottom plastic plate. The cracked area also makes the foot lever (which lowers or locks the vacuum handle) not work as the crack makes it impossible to work. I know you probably do not know what I am talking about but if you could just tell me where I could purchase the entire plastic plate of the bottom of the vacuum I would be very grateful. As of now, my vacuum cannot be used and I need it to be operational.
Thank you, Charlene H. Minor, Royal Oak, Michigan

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
If you call you local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or the Fantom Factory Manufacturer they can either send you the part or parts for the bottom plate or foot release or sometimes the entire base assm depending on what is cracked and broken, I am going to list a couple of places you can get these items, they need the Fantom Model # and color of vacuum and they can ship you the part(s). So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Have a Hoover Steamvac Model #F7426-900 - Series AA12.0 On the bottom of the clean water tank and the detergent container, the gaskets leak and water constantly drips from the tank. How do you repair...

Inspect under the seals to see if the tank hasn't cracked, which is usually the problem. If it is a new seal that is needed, part #43513026. If a new tank is needed, part #42272104.

Cracked

I'm afraid that you will have to replace the base unit, part #62577, would sell for around $25. Once it cracks, then it is weak and will affect the brush roll and belt.

Is the detergent tank cracked at the bottom, under the black seal? If so the whole tank asm. needs to be replaced. But if this is new, then it has a one years warranty on it and you can take in for warranty repair.
