Hello Grower,

This problem could mean a few things :

* Factory Amp Turn On Wire is not connected to the solid blue turn on wire from the radio harness or the appropriate turn on wire on the factory harness.

* Speaker output channels from the radio are not good ( defective radio )

* Bad ground connection from the radio harness.

* Speaker wires are grounding out or touching each other

* Factory Amp fuse is blown, therefore no output to speakers.

* Blown Speaker or torn coil on the speaker connection tab.

I would have all that checked out and if u dont resolve it then write back to me.

Good Luck..

Are you sure that there are speakers currently installed in the vehicle? There may not be, I have seen vehicles that didn't come with factory radios not come with speakers either. If you do have speakers you may want to take the deck back to where you purchased it and show them the problem. If you purchased it online, then you may be stuck with what might actually be a dead unit.

Hi Jamie, Here's an old trick which you may find useful. Take a run down flashlight cell and confirm the wiring to the speakers by holding the earthing line of the speaker cable to the negative and flash the positive side with the feed to the speaker one at a time. With each swipe you will hear a thump from each speaker as you connect and disconnect. In that way you can confirm the cables are the ones you are connecting. Color coding is not always the same. Use a voltage test meter to confirm the constant power and ignition power and don't forget to earth the set once all other connections have been made, Withour an earth it won't work, but you know that anyway. I have a 1990 oldsmobile 98 and i put an aftermarket cd playerin it I bought the wire harness and dash kit and i hooked it up and everything is powered up ok the problem im having is im not getting sound...

did you have sound with old radio before ? did you use a wiring harnest ? check speaker wires or if you have the factory bose or concert sound system the factory amp probably went bad therefor you would have to run speaker wire from each speaker to correct the problem .

Stock Speakers wont work with new stereo plzzzz HELP

U have a Factory audio auxiliary amp in the truck, the radio is just a head unit with a preamp feeding a main amp, that is behind the right rear 1/4 panel trim panel in the cargo area, if your new sound unit has preamp outputs use them, other wise u must wire around the Ford factory amplifier.

Eclipse CD2000 has no sound from a cd or sirius... radio works

If you have an amplifier hooked up make sure that the correct blue wire on the harness is connected. One of the wires is the remote amp turn-on, the other is for a power antenna. That would be why your radio plays through your speakers, the power antenna wire' when the source is set to radio, sends a 12 volt signal. That would turn on your amp if thats the way that its hooked up.

Trying to install after factory radio in 94 Honda accord ex and can't get any sound

I have a 93 accord ex with the bose amp system. Had a Sony deck put in it. It had the popping and the noises. It was installed at a store and they had to hook the red power wire to the antenna wire to get the sound to come out of the system when playing a CD. I thought that was bogus to have the antenna up all the time so I took it back out and put another quick hookup harness in it and it did the same thing. Will not put out any sound till the red power wire is hooked up to the antenna wire so that it goes up when the key is turned on. Installed the same stereo in a 94 taurus SHO with amp and it worked great. I believe that there is an expensive kit that converts the bose system to hook up a unit so that it doesn't pop click buzz, and have to have the antenna up to play.
