I had this symptom on two different V360's. The solution, I believe, is to use a smaller card. While the manual claims 2gb readability, I have not been able to get either phone to read any of 3 good 2Gb cards. I have a 512 mb card on order. Thanks to another poster on this web site for the idea.

Nokia 3500 memory card

What happens when you try to format the card? What type and size memory card? The 3500 works with microSD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity microSDHC cards.

Memory card will not format

No. The maximum size of memory card supported by this model is 1GB microSD type only. So it wont recognize your 2 GB memory card.

Memory card not support.

Possible reasons:

1. Memory card not formatted.
2. Memory card could be larger than 2GB.
3. Brand of the memory card.

Nokia 6085 uses MicroSD (TransFlash) and it could support up to 2GB. If you're using a memory card that is not formatted or bigger than 2GB, you might get this error "memory card not supported'.

Sometimes, brands does matter. Nokia phones prefer to use Nokia memory cards. So you need to try using different memory card to see if there's a problem with the card or with the card slot on the phone.

Hope I answer your question properly.

Have a great day!

format the mem card through your computer instead maybe, it works best if u have a usb reader that the sd card slot in then jus plug it in. if it dont automatically show up on pc go to 'my computer' in the menu and it should b found there prob as removable drive, once in it right click mouse and should b an option to format sd card, hope this helps.
