Since you have been able to print test copies, that tells you that your printer is working.

Questions:
1. Did you print the test from the front of the printer, from the control panel or from a document?
a. If you printed from the printer then
b. test print from the control panel Printers & Faxes then
c. from a document.

1.a. From control panel, double click on Printers & Faxes. Click on the printer that has a check mark, indicates your primary printer, and right click and properties. Click the Print Test page at the bottom. If you get a test page then goto

1.b. Open Word and type the phrase "Test Print" in the document. Click File and Print. Look at the top of the dialog under Printer. You should see your printer name. If not, click to arrow at the right and pick you printer name from the list. Then click OK to send the document to the printer. If you get the page to print then you are done. You should be able to print from any source.

4. If that did not solve the problem then be sure to write down any errors or numbers and post back.

My printer scans and prints ok. but doesn't print documents from my documents. Microsoft reinstalled new driver with no results. Printer makes noise as if it were going to print but all I get is a blank...


first try to print windows test page from the pc and check out.if windows test page prints ok then try to print from my documents.but if windows test page does not print that means drivers are not got properly installed.

click stat---click settings --- click printer and faxes-- a page will get opened-- on that page you will see you printer icon-- right click that printer icon ------ and click the last option called properties ---- a page will get opened.---- on that page on lower right corner you will see print test page option--- click that and see if that page prints.

Hp 3325 printer printing test page and not printing other pages


Hi there,
  • Unplug the printer cable from the computer.
  • Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
  • restart the computer
  • try to download drivers from the website
  • after installing drivers and software it will ask you to connect the printer.
  • then you can connect the printer and and try to Print the test page.

Pages not showing any print


In this case, the first thing that I would do is re-install the printer.

Delete the printer from your computer then, if you have the installation disk, run the setup program to reinstall the printer and all of its drivers.
If you don't have or don't want to use the installation disk, you can download drivers directly from the manufacturer's Web site here
http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi

I could have provided a link directly to the download page if you would have provided the name of your operating system (Windows 2000, XP, Vista, etc). However, it's fairly simple finding your drivers. After you get to the Lexmark Web site you will need to type your printer model (1100 Colorjet) in the text box.
On the next page, you will need to select your operating system.
The following page will provide a link to download the driver files used to install the printer.
Make sure you download the correct drivers for your printer model. Using the incorrect drivers can cause print issues such as this one or cause wierd characters to print instead of letters. This kind of thing can also happen if one of the entries placed in the Windows registry by the printer software has become corrupt.

Download the file and run it to re-install the printer.
Print a test page from the printer itself to rule out any issues with the hardware. (You might also want to download the users guide if you don't know how to print a test page from the printer). If the page comes out blank, you will have to stop here and find out why you can't print directly from the printer (this would be an issue caused by the printer). If not, you can move on to the next step.

Next, print a test page from the operating system to rule out any problems related to hardware.
Start > Printers and Faxes > Right-click printer > Click Properties on the General Tab > Click Print Test Page.
If both test pages print successfully then you should be able to print anything without a problem and can try to print and email or word document to see how it comes out.
If the test page printed from the printer came out okay but this one came out blank, this indicates a software related issue and you would have to troubleshoot further.

I know this sounds like a lot to do, however, all you need to do is download the correct drivers (unless you choose to use the CD that came with it), uninstall then re-install the printer, and print a test page from the printer, one from the computer, then print any random document.

I CAN PRINT TEST PAGE BUT WHEN I PRINT A DOCUMENT I CAN HEAR IT PRINTING BUT NOTHING IS ON THE PAGE.


if you are using ms word select all the documents and change the document colour into black

I have a HP Deskjet 1300n printer. I can print my email, pictures and items off the internet, but cannot print any word documents or notepad documents. When I print an excel document, I get an incomplete page-the grid lines will print,and text garbage from a adobe program but not all the text. When I do a test print page, I get an incomplete text page, but do not know how to solve this. I have removed and reloaded the printer software-no improvement. There are no new drivers to be installed.

Printing test page


well as it seams u have given the order to ur pc to prin a test page before....but it wasnt responting so u keeped pressing the bottom..! so to fix that u can go to contro panel>printers and faxes and there u can find ur printers name...after that duble-click on ur printer and it shows a printer dialog...then delete ALL the documents that is ready to print...after that u r ready to print again!! but always remember that if u "say" to ur printer to print a page and it doesnt respont as soon as posible, it doesnt mean it wont print!! just click ONCE the print bottom the other time :)
