HP OFFICEJET J5780 HOW TO GET SCANNER TO WORK

To get the scanner working this is what you should do. First, do not install the software for Officejet All-in-one J5780. Instead of this, install HP Officejet All-in-one J5700, you can get it from the HP website. I do not know why but this software makes the scanner work. You can then install J5780 which will delete some of the old files but will keep the scan file on.

Hp officejet j6480 cartridge error problems

This type of fatal cartridge error (i.e. "refer to documentation" / "incompatible cartridges", etc.) typically indicates the internal micro-electronics of the HP #74/75 cartridge are damaged. The cartridge's electrical wire runs at rear and lower side of the ink cartridge, are very delicate and are somewhat susceptible to ink attack over time, which can lead to premature failures. However, our test group has also seen these failures with brand new cartridges. In addition, the older the cartridge the higher the chance of an internal electrical failure. I suggest you first run a 'Tap 41' diagnostic test to check cartridges electrical health (this is a forced test); you may also bypass the error (temporarily) on most models which use HP 74/75 cartridges. Refer to Inkjet411 youtube videos below on how to access respective printer's service menu and correct:

Put new cartridge in officejet j6410 and overnight it now says cartridge on left needs replacing. put old cartridge back in and it still says the same thing

These types of severe cartridge errors (i.e. "refer to documentation" / "incompatible cartridges", "print cartridge(s) problem", "cartridge in wrong slot", etc.) typically indicate the internal micro-electronics of the HP #74/75 cartridge are damaged. The cartridge's electrical wire runs at rear and lower side of the ink cartridge, are very delicate and are somewhat susceptible to ink attack over time, which can lead to premature failures. Scan problem with HP Officejet J5700: When I press scan the screen shows "No scan options, refer to device documentation for troubleshooting"

This particular error message is in regards with the software of the printer. Its either your printer is not communicating with the computer software for scanning or your firewall is blocking the software. But before we proceed with any troubleshooting steps why don't you check if you have hp solution center or hp director in your computer. If you have any of this two softwares try to scan usig it. If it will have an error message try to send any feedbacks
