The EASY but Time consuming way (If you Only hagve USB 1), is to just RESET the unit.
The manual will run you through it, and reload.
I have both Gigabeat Room, and Win/Player 11, and have reset and reloaded a few times.
Just take some time (Specially with Gig Room)
Good Luck

Accidental Rockbox file deletion

You will have to find someone with the same make/model and copy there files over to yours. This sadly is the only way to fix it.

Thanks, Frank Z.

30g ipod rockbox wont sync with itunes after doom install

If you look at the Rockbox documentation, there is a way to reboot your iPod into the original iPod firmware and use the original interface as well as having the ability to boot into the Rockbox firmware.
The Rockbox firmware is great if you want more options for transfer and skins and so on, but it is not as easy to use as the stock iPod interface.
You can also refer to the documentation that will show how to remove Rockbox and go back to the original Apple software. I ran Rockbox for a while but it was more or a pain in the **** than I cared to deal with so I uninstalled it.
Worst case is you can do a full restore in iTunes that will restore the iPod to factory, but it will wipe the music you have loaded. Hope you have a backup.

Hope this helps.

have you tried playing it in ole iriver style (not rockbox). to see if you really did delete something. and if so go to and download the the last firmware you had to rebuild. and hopefully you can come back to rockbox latest version also. its just a very late suggestion. oh yeah one more do you know of any one who has a 120 as yours (you can copy theirs software, but you will have to format yours in order for it to work correctly)

1 - since you really did nt delete all of rockbox (you shoud reinstall the whole thing) this will take of the system looking for it.
2 - you will have a dual boot up and a choice of which one u wish
Key Action

Power Start Rockbox
Long Power Shutdown Rockbox
On shutdown, Rockbox automatically saves its settings.

Rockbox has a dual-boot feature. To boot into the original firmware, press and hold the Left button while turning on the player.
