How do i put a signature on a pantech link

Text message signatures are the post scripts at the end of text messages. Some people use text message signatures to provide an unrelated, off-top status update to the recipients of their text messages. Other people use text message signatures to attach a favorite quote with every outgoing message. If you own Pantech's Link handset, you use the device's messaging templates to attach a signature to your text messages.

steps:

  • Press the right "-" button to access the Link's menu. Use the handset's directional pad to navigate to "Messaging" option in the menu. Press the center of the directional pad, the "OK" button, to select the "Messaging" option.

  • 2

Select the "Templates" option from the "Messaging" menu, using the directional keypad. Select "Options" from the "Templates" menu, using the left "-" button and then select "Add New."

  • 3

Key in your text message signature using the Link's QWERTY keypad. Select "Options" with the left "-" and then select "Save" from the "Options" menu.

  • 4

Press the red "End" button to exit the "Templates" menu. Press the right "-" button to return to the Link's main menu. Select the "Messaging" option from the menu.

  • 5

Select the "Create Message" option in the "Messaging" menu. Compose your message with the Link's QWERTY keypad.

  • 6

Select the "Insert" option before sending your text message. Select the "Templates" from the "Insert" menu. Select your text signature from the list of available templates and then select the "Send" option to transmit your text message.

    Text messages are frozen!

Have you powered your phone off, left it off for awhile and then powered back on?

If that doesn't work you will need to reset your phone if you can get to these menus.

    • Select Menu, Settings, and then Security.
    • Enter your lock code.
    • The Security menu is displayed.
    • Select Reset Phone.
    • A disclaimer is displayed.
    • Read the disclaimer and press Yes (left softkey).
Warning: This will change your phone back to factory settings. Your phone will still be active, however, all personal settings will be lost.

These personal settings are in respect to your ring tone, wall paper and call on voice command menu setup, etc.

Whether or not you will loose your phone book entries depends on what went wrong.

If in doubt at all take your phone to a phone store for assistance.

    Regards,
