Question about ASUS P4V8X-X Motherboard
If I understand this correctly, you need to install drivers to get your system to work properly, but you can't download them because the Ethernet driver isn't installed, and it isn't reading the driver CD either. In that case, you'll need a friend to download the driver install files on another computer and save them to a USB flash memory device. Copy them to a directory on the hard drive and double-click them to do the installation.
Usually the generic Ethernet driver in the operating system works, although it may not be optimal. Perhaps these problems indicate the 12 Volt power supply is not adequate. Check it with a voltmeter to make sure it is at least 11.5 Volts.
