Remember that the fan is generally not controlled by the thermostat...unless you have one of the power saver units. The compressor which does the cooling is. If you turn the thermostat to a warmer setting, there should be a click and the compressor should shut off. If not, the control is bad.

Bosch SGVE53E13GB Integrated dishwasher- cycles but won't finish

The heating element in the bottom of the unit may be burned out. With an ohm meter, check to see if there is any resistance with power removed and terminals of heating element exposed. If it measures about 1 or 2 ohms, it is okay. Anything more than about 200 ohms means there is likely a break in the element., If it is okay, then check the wiring to the heating element.

Yamaha RX-V793 receiver shuts down when I turn up volume. Checked the speaker wires and they seem okay. I then hooked it up to an older DVD player I had and it works fine. Don't know if it's 5.1 bu

My first thought would be that when you moved the receiver to connect another DVD, the problem quit since the speaker wires moved. The best way to test would be to re connect the original unit the same way as the new unit and test again. If it still cuts out, disconnect the speaker wires and re test. if it still cuts out, try the new player and test again. if it does not cut out, there may be a problem with the old units audio output. Generally if its a problem with the receiver it would not matter what source you are using, even the tuner on the receiver, if there was a short in the receiver it would cut out. Let me know what your results are and I will help more if needed. Best of luck!

Try adjusting your thermostat, contact point possibly melt and welded by electric sparks. Replace thermostat control if contact won't get open.

Hi, I have a Daikin Model FTXS35D with RXS 35D 3VNB outdoor unit. Until this year it was excellent, now does not cool as before. Have cleaned filters etc. Could it be a sensor problem. When I...

Your unit should cool 15 to 20 degrees. 75 return air temp should be below 60 degree supply air temp. If you are not in this range you likely have a refrigerant problem.

DDR2504 dehumidifier has always worked well. Now the fan runs and all seems normal, but the humidity is not dropping and you can tell that the dehumidifier is not cutting in and out. I do not have it on...

derkfarm - It may simply be a case of the humidity extraction level being set to high and/or the air intake filter needs to be removed and cleaned.

Solution: Lower the humidity extraction level to 32 - 35% and clean the air filter.

If the unit is in a basement, the ambient air temperature at floor level is colder than at chest level. Dehumidifiers don't work well at temperatures between 40 - 60 degrees F.

Solution: Set the unit up off the floor on a sturdy table, cabinet, counter top, etc. It must be sturdy enough to handle the weight of the unit, plus a full tank of water and the vibration, while in operation.

Any or all the simple solutions above may solve the problem. But, we won't know, until you try them.

Please let me know if it helped or didn't solve the problem. Thanks.

HAVE NO HEAT, DON'T HAVE PROGRAMME MANUAL

Hello, Many of the manufacturer's have information online. Just find the name of the unit and the Model number and use your Browser. Put in the name and model, hit search or use a variation like name, model and operator's manual.

You will find both free and paysites. You can usually get enough info to do what you want with the controls. You can also print the manual on your computer. I have done this with my Manual.

The Digital touch screens seem to be the hardest to do. Make sure to look in the Manual about Batteries for the unit. Sometimes your heat will not work if the Batteries are bad, but if the A/C worked then the Batteries should be okay. The Batteries should be replaced on a Digital Thermostat after a year or 2.

Most Thermostats have 2 small switches at the bottom. The fan stays on Auto and the button for heat and cool must be slide back to heat if that is what you want. With the Digital type you usually have to reset the Degrees when changing functions.

I hope my solution is very helpful to you.

Dryer is not heating up.

90% of electric dryers emitting cold air need a new heating element installed. If you've checked the thermal fuse, and verified the unit has around 220 volts of power, then the only thing left is the heating element. Typically costs around $40-$60. Can be done by you if you have basic electrical knowledge, otherwise call an electrician.
