How can I keep the velcro from coming undone on the strap?

Hi I have 2 ways for you to try in hopes to help resolve the problem you be http://lifelivedintentionally.blogspot.com/2013/11/how-to-fix-shoes-with-shabby-velcro.html en having with the velcro from coming undone. You can check out this link that gives you step by step instructions with pictures though it might take some time, but it will fix the velcro and have them looking and working lie new again.
If you prefer a simple quick fix and don't care about how perfect they look you will need, (IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE OR IDEA GO TO A CRAFT STORE BEFORE WALMART YOU WILL GET YOUR BEST HELP THERE. THE EMPLOYEES HAVE MUCH EDUCATION AND USEUALLY EXPERIENCE ABOUT PROJECTS, MATERIALS AND
SUPPLIES

YOU WILL NEED:
1. NEW VELCRO close to the same size velcro on your shoe. if need be bring the shoe and show the employee and ask where velcro similar to shoes located.
2. STRONG FABRIC GLUE (make sure read what fabric the glue holds and also ask employee there for the best glue for velcro straps if your not familiar with products.) I personally used gorilla glue and never had a problem with the velcro coming undone. .
3. scissors
4. small clamps or clothes pins or those clips that keep potato chips closed just make sure it has a good pinch to it.

TO START,
1. CLEAN ANY HAIR OR FUZZY BALLS OUT OF THE VELCRO WITH TWEEZERS AND FINE TOOTH COMB BEST YOU CAN AND MAKE SURE NO DIRT OR DUST ON AREAS.
2. CUT THE VELCRO TO SIMILAR SIZE OF SHOE VELCRO.
3. APPLY GENEROUS AMOUNT OF GLUE ON BACK OF NEW VELCRO AND ON TOP OF OLD VELCRO AND LET SIT FOR 2 MINUTES NOT TOUCHING EACH OTHER YET.
4. CAREFULLY LAY THE NEW GLUE SIDE VELCRO ON TOP OF THE OLD VELCRO YOU APPLIES SOME GLUE TO APPLY PRESSURE HOLD FOR A MINUTE THEN GET YOUR CLIPPERS , CLOTHES PINS OR SMALL CLAMPS AND PINCH THE TWO PIECES TOGETHER MUCH AREA AS YOU CAN PINCH AND HOLD OVERNIGHT.
5. DO THE SAME WITH THE VELCRO ON THE SIDES OF SHOE.

MAKE SURE YOUR VELCRO IS LAID OUT THE SAME WAY AS THE OLD VELCRO. IF THE VELCRO TOP OF THE SHOE HAS THE ROUGH SIDE OR THE FUZZY SO"FT SIDE DO IT THE SAME WAY.
I DO MMA AND A PAIR OF MY BOXING GLOVES I HAVE THE VELCRO WAS WEAK AND THIS WORKED FOR MY GLOVES AGAIN THIS IS NO FANCY LOOK NEW WAY ( THE LINK ABOVE HAS THE LOOK LIKE NEW WAY AND WORKS.) MY OTHER WAY I HAVE INCLUDED IS MORE A "GET ER DONE WAY"
GOOD LUCK

HOW CAN MY SOLES BE REPAIRED? THE RUBBER IS CRUMBLING

I am guessing that it is not pure rubber but something of a mixture of things. It is not likely that these can be fixed when they do that. If a sole has polyethylene in it and is exposed to high humidity, it will break down. The same thing with polyurethane in organic solvents like gasoline.

I have several pair of shoes I had to pitch as a result and I was not happy. Sorry for the bad news.

Have pair of etienne flats named Kay tags still on never worn

Polyurethane soles with a higher PE do that if theyare subnected to high humidity for long pdriods or organic solvents. If you recently bought them new, take them back.

How can I re-sole a Rieker shoe?

Any cobbler or cordwainer can help you. Ask to see what they will do and ask to see some of their work. I once went to a cobbler that was a ham handed klutz and he ruined a pair of shoes. IF I had seen his handywork first, I might have gone elsewhere!

Soles need to be replaced on my zip front low elastic gusseted leather Sanita boots

Polyurethane is something that breaks down if it gets in contact with organic solvents or humidity for too long. It is possible to replace the soles with other material and you will be happy with the results. I have done this with Sanita and Sika clogs and clog boots and it worked for me. I used "snow grip" soling and Topy Seville and both have worked.

How to select a good walking shoes? Coul dyou recommend me on a good pair?

People are always asking for shoe recommendations. I don't like to make specific shoe recommendations because everyone's foot is different and people have different walking styles. But there are a few basics for selecting walking shoes: 1.Look for a low, supportive heel that rounds (or bevels) in. A thick heel or one that flairs out will cause your foot to slap down rather than roll. 2. A walker's foot hits heel first and then rolls gradually from heel-to-toe. So, you will need a flexible sole and more bend in the toe than a runner. 3.Next, look for a shoe that is light weight and breathable. The last thing you want is the clunky heavy leather walking shoe.
4. The most important thing of course is a shoe that fits properly. Be sure your foot has enough room in the toe box. There should be a thumbnails width (or about a half inch) between your toes and the end of the shoe.5. Go shoe shopping at the end of the day or after your walk when your feet may be slightly swollen. 6. Do not shop when you are in a hurry. 7.Wear your shoes in the house for a few days to try them out.

Help choosing the right bike shoes. The proper bike shoes can make a big difference in my performances..Please help me choose a good bike shoe!

Alright , no problems my friend. I'll explain the basics of cycling shoes, the dynamics of what makes them great and why you might need a pair.Number of things to look for when buying a biking shoe: 1.A Stiff Sole - The best cycling shoes have a thin, stiff, carbon fiber sole.?The stiffer the sole, the less energy you'll lose between your foot and the pedal. 2.A Good Fit-?You should buy your shoes about a half-size smaller than your normal size to ensure a proper, snug fit. 3.Breathable Materials - ?When your feet start to sweat, it's best to be wearing a shoe that is made with a moisture-wicking material. 4. Easy On, Easy Off?With Velcro and hook and loop strap closures it's very fast and easy to adjust the tightness of a shoe, a necessity when on a long ride with varied terrain.
