Question about GE AJCQ08ACB Air Conditioner
MY GE #BTR924a100a1 air conditioner motor keeps running but the fan will stop for a couple of minutes then it starts up again. A couple of days ago it stop working and this is what it is doing right now. After i had taken off the top and messed with it a little bit this is what it started doing. i has been working now for the last couple of hours but i wasnt sure if it ok or not and if anyone could give me a hint that would amazing.
It sounds like the internal overload on the fan motor is being tripped by a buildup of heat in the motor I would recommend that you clean the the coils on the unit and oil the fan motor by removing the oil plugs along the perimeter of each end of the motor (if its a serviceable motor).
P.S. If you spray of the inside of the unit be sure its disconnected form power of course, but also take care to not get water in the blower motor and if theres a chance you have allow time for it to dry before you attempt to start the unit. GL, hope this was useful.
