How to hook autotek693T speakers in cparice classic 1992???

yeah, you are going to have to cut off that factory speaker connection, but leave a few inches of wire on the end so you can re-attatch that connector later, should you sell the car, re-install the factory speakers and keep your after market speakers for another car. one of the wires has a stripe on them, (never mind the color) connect the stripe factory wires to the stripe speaker wires with 'wire-nuts', or twist the bared wire and tape them with electrical tape, the stripe wire to the positive speaker post. the other wire will of course go to the negative speaker post. once you have both speakers wired up, play some music with good bass, and move your speaker balance from one side to the other, if your speakers are connected properly you will hear more bass with both speakers than with the balance all the way left, or all the way right.

How to install rear speakers in a 2001 chevy impala ls

first start off buy laying your back seats down , then take a 10mm ratchet and take the 4 bolts off. next you will need to take the rear dash out (best to use two people one to hole the bar back and one to take the dash out ) ok so once you have the dash out lift the sound proffing mat up and this will expose the speakers . press the two clips (on the left side of the speakers ) and lift up and slide to the left to remove the speakers . be sure to disconnect them before this step . once the speakers are out you will need to remove the black plate off the bottom of the STOCK speakers .best to use a knife to slice around because it is stock on with glue . once the plates are removed have one person hold the plate and you drop the speakers in to the STOCK plates. screw the aftermarket screws in tho the pre-excisting holes . once this is done for both place the speakers back in to the car and clip them in

WIREING: the stock speakers were atached with clips , these :WILL not work with the aftermarket speaks. you will need to splice them and join the givin wires to the new wires that come with the speaks ,.once joind just tape them togeather or use blue wire nuts . make sure that the speaks work before putting the rear dash back in . :)

You have a grounded out speaker wire or blown speaker. Disconnect speaker wires at the unit. Make sure the wires are not touching, turn the unit on, then turn the volume back up. If it stays on, it is a wire or speaker. Re-connect one speaker at a time and test. once you find the bad wire/speaker, disconnect the wire at the speaker and test again. This will determine if it's the speaker or wire.

If after disconnecting the speaker wires it still cuts out, check your ground and meter the DC voltage at the power wire. If you do not have enough current at the radio, it will shut off as well. Usually this will happen at about 9.8v dc.

If you still need further help, post a reply/comment and I can help you dig further.

Replace front speakers

You would have to open the door panel to replace front speakers. Look for any screws around the door handle. look at the whole door panel for any screws so that you may remove the panel in order to reach the speakers. once the panel is free from any visible screws, use a door panel remover ($5-10) and use it to pry off the panel, use it around the door panel push-in connectors, and don't use extreme force, may break connectors. once the connectors around the whole panel are removed. make sure your window is down before the whole procedure. then pick up the panel from the bottom (push up), then the panel should be off the door, if you want to change the speakers, you don't need to take any of the wiring to the window/door lock. simply remove the cover if any over the stock speakers, usually some screws. once the cover/screws are off. the speaker should come off. You will see two wires off the speakers (the red(positive) the black(negative)), once the stock speaker is removed, simply attatch the new speaker to the wires. make sure the negative and positive from the car DO NOT TOUCH, you WILL short circuit and blow a fuse, maybe worse, and it's not worth the time fixing. hope this helps, good luck.

Have you tried to unplug and reset the reciever? Usually protector is on because of an overload.

Da30es protector error just scrows on the display

Disconnect all speaker wires at the receiver and power the unit back up. If it stays on, reconnect speakers2.gif one by one and test each time. You will either self correct the problem, (usually a braid or two touching the other terminal) or you will find the speaker or wire with the short. Once you find the speaker that's causing the problem, disconnect the wire at the speaker and test again. Be careful and keep the wires separated so they do not touch. If it still cuts out, replace the wire. If it stays on, your wire is good and the problem is in the speaker. For good measure, reconnect the wire to the speaker again careful not to have braids touch each other and test. If it still cuts out, meter the speaker on resistance to check for a dead short which is caused by a bad voice coil or bad crossover. If your not proficient with a meter, take the speaker to any home audio2.gif shop and have them test it for you. Most will do this free of charge. If you disconnect all the speaker wires and the receiver still goes into protection, it will need to be serviced. Once serviced or replaced, be cautious when reconnecting speaker wires and test the same way. 80-90% of the "protection" cases that I service are do to a shorted wire or speaker. Hope this helps

red is ignition power, or power when you turn the key on. yellow is all time power. yellow keeps power all the time, this keeps your presets and clock settings saved. black is ground. once you have then hooked up you will be able to figure out your speaker wires by trail and error, they my be green/green black, purple/purple black, white/white black, ect, but these are your speakers. Once you get the power on it should be no problem to figure out the speaker wires.

The rear speakers left and right are not working but the front speakers are okay. Why the rear speakers are not working? How could it be solved? Do you have layout diagram of the speaker connection?

more then likely the speakers are blown. wires don't go "bad" like that in a car unless exposure to moisture, and for that to happen the pvc sleeve on the wires had to be exposed (all the wires exposed at once? ) for the copper wiring to corrode.

either that they were wired in wrong at some point.

left front speaker wires grey (-) tan(+) * note there is also a grey wire in that bundle that is for the dimmer light

right left yellow (+) brown (-)

hope this helps.
