The rechargeable batteries are a fujifilm product and can only be loaded in one way. There is a location slot in the battery.

I had this problem. If you have the original Nikon charger, insert the battery and press the calibration button. I dont know how, but it charged the battery fully.

Camera won't turn on

If none of the suggested causes helps resolve the issue, then I suggest you bring it in for repair.

Please check the following things when the camera does not turn on.

Possible causes and how to handle them
1. The camera is not on

Turn on the camera. (Operation procedure varies between camera models. Please refer to the camera user guide supplied with your camera.)

2. The rechargeable battery is not fully charged.

Make sure the rechargeable battery is fully charged. If the battery has not been used for an extended period of time, or if it is being used for the first time, it may not be fully charged. In cases like this, fully charge the battery and then discharge it completely in the camera several times to bring the battery back to its normal performance.

The rechargeable battery's capacity diminishes the longer the battery is used. When the battery consumption becomes quicker, the battery life may be at its end. Replace the battery with a new one.

3. The battery terminals are dirty.

When camera does not operate with a brand-new alkaline battery (for cameras that use AA-size batteries) or with a fully charged rechargeable battery, the terminals may be dirty.
Polish the terminals with a dry cloth and make sure the terminals are clean. If the terminals are covered with oil from your skin or similar matter, this may cause poor contact and power may not be fully supplied to the camera.

Also, polish the battery charger terminals with a dry cloth before charging the battery. If the terminals are covered with oil from your skin or similar matter, this may cause poor contact and the battery may not be fully charged.

4. The batteries are not installed correctly (for cameras that use AA-size batteries)

For cameras that use AA-size batteries, multiple batteries are used in one camera. Make sure the direction of each battery matches the direction indicated on the camera. If any of the batteries are improperly inserted, the camera will not operate.

5. The battery cover or CF card (SD card) slot cover is not securely closed

Most cameras have a lock mechanism on the battery cover. The camera will not turn on if the battery cover is not locked or securely closed, or if the CF card (SD card) slot cover is not securely closed. Make sure these covers are securely closed.

If your camera does not operate after checking each of these things, or if there is any visible damage on your camera that could be the cause, please contact the nearest Service Center.

My battery is fully charged but when i turn the camera on it shuts right back off

SOunds like your battery is bad. try discharing it :
  1. Place the battery in your camera until it itself turns off. In this situation, the battery is fully discharged.
  2. Take out your battery and slide it into your battery charger.
  3. Connect your charger with power to fully charge the battery. It is normal for a new battery that battery indicator shows 100% capacity in 10 to 15 minutes. Please keep charging until there is no time left for charging.
  4. Fully charged and fully discharged or "cycled" as much as five times to condition them into performing at full capacity.
Try it and see if it works? If the batteries are not rechargeable then the problem is in the cameras power supply and you need to take it in or replace it.

I can´t switch my camera on and i also can´t recharge the battry throw usb

The camera doesn't charge though the camera is on. It only charges when the camera is off. Here are the steps for no power problems: 1. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Turn the camera on. 2. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty) 3. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a no power repair with KODAK or a new cable.

Camera has failed to operate giving a "change batteries" message

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

My camera will not stay on is off and stuck with lens out

If the lens doesn't retract on most digital camera the camera also will not turn ON. It is connection or wiring between camera power and camera lens.
What Kodak Rep will ask you to do are:
1. Remove the battery and the memory card of the camera
2. Check if your using a recommended battery and if its new or fully charge. batteries for Z1275 are Ni-MH rechargeable; CRV3 Lithium; 2AA Lithium
3. Insert the batteries back in the camera in correctly
4. Set the camera in Auto mode (its the camera icon on the dialing mode of the camera)
5. Try to turn it ON
If still will not turn ON and the lens will not retract
6. If your using a rechargeable battery Kodak Rep will ask you to charge the battery until its fully charge.
If your using a disposable battery they will ask you to try to use a new battery out from the box.
After all those steps still the camera failed to work, it will be send for repair. The number of the Kodak support line is 1 800 235 6325 (23KODAK)

Using rechargable battery with new camera for the first time

If you are using a rechargeable battery, yes you should fully charge it before you use the camera for the first time. Rechargeable batteries are normally supplied without a charge from the factory, but not always. Fully charged batteries may be in storage for a long time before the camera is purchased and unlike modern dry cells, rechargables will not hold a charge for years.

Fully charge your battery, then run it until it has completely exhausted. If you plan to put the camera in storage at some point in the future, always recharge the battery every couple of months or so, to keep it in good condition.

Of course make sure the supplied battery is in fact rechargeable and not a lithium which should not be recharged.
