The lens has a lateral gear track along the side of it. It must be inserted into the projector so the gear on the lens meshes with the gear in the projector. When a lens is stuck in the projector and won't move it usually means the lens was inserted at an orientation other than what I just described. When that happens, the gear track on the side of the lens jams into the metal cage the lens fits into, the metal cuts into the plastic of the gear track and the lens is stuck! It takes a very gentle - and very strong - hand to get the lens out. Special attention should be taken NOT to damage the metal cage that hold the lens or the plastic rails within the cage that support the lens when attempting removal!!
