Question about Belkin (F5D7230-4) Router (587009)

I can't networt to a printer

I have a Brother MFC 465cn printer. I cannot get it to connect to my MacBook Pro through my Belkin G router. I connected the printer to the router with an ethernet cable and the printer got an IP address. I use the router to wirelessly go on line everyday but the only way I was able to print was to connect an ethernet cable from the router to the computer. Now that doesn't work either. Do I have to buy a new router?

It sounds like a software configration issue. try and access the Network menu on your MFC and remove any static IP that might have been setup by your software and retry to configure the printer.

How do I connect my Macbook to my Kodak wireless printer with my Belkin G+MIMO router?

When you added the WPS encryption ket to your wireless router, this secures your wireless network from unauthorized access to you wireless network.
To allow your wireless computers and wireless printer to communicate with your wireless network the wireless cards in the computers and printer needs to be configured with the WPA encryption settings that you configured in the wireless router.

Make sure the IP of the Router and the IP of the MAC is in the same scope.
E.G. Router: 192.168.1.1 Subnet 255.255.255.0
Mac: 192.168.1.5 subnet 255.255.255.0
Typically the router acts as DHCP-server and distributing ip-adresses automatically, when a computer is connected. But the the IP can also be set manually.

WILL IT SUPPORT THE MacBook pro

dear friend try to add a $ symbol before the network key and click connect...it may work...
i think the security type which you have enabled now in router is WPA... you need to change the security type to 64bitWEP on your router, and try connecting again....
to configure your router you can follow the steps given for Belkin router, by clicking here... All the routers will have similar kind of configuration.... only the user interface will differ...
first check for the default gateway address of your router.... you need to enter that address in place of BELKIN default ip address given in that link....

How to connect my macbook to my belkin router. everytime i put the password my macbook keeps saying connection erra..

does it say error joining the network ?
If that is so try to connect to the network again. it will ask you for the password.
Now type $ sign first and then type the password and try to connect .
For example , your network password is 123456 then type $123456 . try this one.
Otherwise open the router set up and check the wireless settings.

I have a macbook pro and I am having problem connecting wirelessly to a Belkin Wireless Router N. None of my roommates have problem connecting and I can connect wirelessly everywhere else on campus but not...

Most hotspots are using b/g protocol for the widest compatibility with other hardware. Your macbook pro may not be able to connect tot he Belkin router if it's only broadcasting the N protocol. First verify which protocol the Belkin router is using. If it's broadcasting N, try changing it to use b/g and see if you can connect. I seem to recall that the earlier macbooks needed an update to be N compatible.

Can you check if you have problems with your internet connection?
How about your browser? i recommend using mozilla firefox browser because i assure that it it the fastest browser.

If you have no problems with your internet connection probably you may want to check if your device are working properly.

Consider:
The type of Internet connection you use is the most important factor in determining your connection speed. The three most common ways to connect to the Internet from home are dial-up, DSL, and cable. If you have a choice, cable is usually the fastest, but both DSL and cable are faster than dial-up.

The health of your computer can affect your Internet connection.Spyware and viruses can definitely cause problems, but your Internet connection speed can also be affected by add-on programs, the amount of memory the computer has, hard disk space and condition, and the programs that are running.
Two of the most frequent causes of poor Internet performance are spyware and viruses. Spyware can slow your system by interfering with your browser and monopolizing your Internet connection. Spyware monitors your Internet use and keystrokes, which adds delays. The problem is compounded when there are multiple spyware programs running at the same time. If the problem is severe enough, you can lose connectivity altogether. To get your Internet performance back, you should regularly run an antispyware program to clean out any spyware infestation.

Computer viruses can also cause poor Internet performance. When a virus infects a computer, it installs computer code which will attempt to propagate itself, usually by sending copies of itself through e‑mail. Some viruses can multiply at the rate of hundreds of e‑mail messages per minute, which leaves little computing power and Internet connection bandwidth for anything else. Viruses often do not give any obvious indication that they are running, so it is best to run your antivirus software at all times.

Thank you : ) i hope my information works.
Please pm me if none of the options work. :)
