Go to auto parts store and get the ford stereo remover tool and if your going with an after market stereo it would be wiser and easier to buy the stereo wiring instalation kit to...with the remover tool you stick on in the 2 holes on the left side of the stereo and the other in the holes in the right side holes just push them in firmly than not very hard but with steady pressure pull the left one to the left and right one to the right and than while still pulling them apart slowly start pulling stereo out

SOURCE: 2006 Ford Explorer "Oil Change Required" light is still on after changing the oil

IF YOU FIND THIS INFO USEFUL PLEASE RATE ME AS A FIXYA! THANKS

Oil Change Reset
A press of the OIL CHANGE RESET switch will allow you to
reset the oil life feature to 100% (or your Personalized Oil Reset
Percentage). After you have the oil changed, you must execute
the following procedure. Press the OIL CHANGE RESET switch
and hold for five seconds as the M/C counts down for five
seconds. After a successful reset the Message Center will display
“OIL LIFE RESET TO 100%.” If you have established a
Personalized Oil Reset Percentage, the display will show that
percentage instead of 100%. To ensure accurate oil life
indicators, perform this reset procedure only after an oil change.
Your Personalized Oil Reset Percentage allows you to establish a
smaller oil change interval than the manufacturer’s
recommended interval. To establish your Personalized Oil Reset
Percentage perform the following procedure:
1. Press and hold the OIL CHANGE RESET switch and press
the RESET switch while the display is still counting down
the 5 seconds to reset. The display will change to “START
OIL LIFE AT XXX%.”
2. Press the OIL CHANGE RESET switch until the displayed
percentage is the Personalized Oil Reset Percentage that you
desire. Your choices are 100%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%,
40% and 30%.

SOURCE: 2006 Ford Explorer XLT the Blower Fan only works on 4 and 3 Sp

Look under the dash on passenger side and just to the left of the blower motor housing you will see the 4WD control module.Remove the 2 screws holding the module and let it hang down and your resistors are behind this.Remove the 2 screws holding the resistors and remove.
Now I am assuming you have manual climate control and not electonic.

To set the hour, press and hold the CLK control and press SEEK. (Use arrows to increase or decrease hours). To set the minutes, press and hold the CLK control and press TUNE and use arrows.

This should work unless your vehicle has a separate clock module.(Other than the digital radio display).

If you bought the car new and have never set the anti theft code for the radio (Most people don't) then the code is the factory preset. If you have your owners manual for the car it will tell you under the radio area what the factory preset is IE 0000. From there you can either leave it factory or you can put your own 4 digit code in, but make sure you right it down in the back of the book or somewhere safe so you have it in case you ever have to remove the radio or you lose total power to the car. Losing total power like changing the battery will call for the radio to come back on in the locked position making enter the code to unlock it.

Not able to reset oil change light 2006 ford explorer eddie bauer

Try disconnecting the battery for five minutes to reset the computer. You might want to write down your radio station settings. Some radios retain memory and some don't.

Batterry died and now my cd player won't work

Changed the battery and if you have a good one in there now then check the fuse to the radio. If you had a custom installed radio then there could be two fuses, one behind the radio and one in the vehicles fuse panel.
