Restart your computer, then try connecting to a different USB port on your computer.

Try connecting it to a different computer.

If it still is not detected, it is "dead". Spend $10 to $20 to buy a 2GB to 8GB replacement.

Flash drive will not read?

Hi there,
Have you been able to get it to work on another computer? Have you formatted it? Check how many drives you have on your computer (i.e. c: d: e:) if you have many, then you may need to give your Flash Drive a new drive letter, see the following link: http://ezinearticles.com/?Flash-Drive-Not-Detected?-Solution-is-Here&id=1526594
Cheers.
