Thanks for your suggestion. I was getting ready to remove my driver. Then I saw my scanner moving. It is working now. I do not know what happened. Thanks again

First try to restart the printer. If it still won't work, uninstall the printer driver (control panel-programs & features), then reinstall it using the CD that came with (make sure to disconnect the USB cable before you reinstall) If you do not have the CD that came with the printer go to the below web site and follow the steps provided: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=421991&dlc=en&lc=en&cc=us

I have the all-in-one Hp officejet 6210 and I was able to scan all of the sudden it says I have to install or run device software and I have done that already and it won't allow me to scan. What can I do...

Hmmm...it says to install or RUN device software...have you tried to run the software program? Try to open it up, and see if you can scan from the program. If that doesn't work, I would reload the CD and try again. Could be a problem with the CD, officejet, or computer driver, but it sounds like the computer driver is failing to work, which is why I recommend reloading it. Good luck...hope this helps.

If you are flat bed scanning then try this....Try scanning through the top feeder instead. Mine has had this problem before and it has solved it.

HP Officejet 6210 will not copy, scan or fax. It will print documents from the computer. Any attempt to do the other 3 functions results in it being "busy" and cannot cancel, have to power it off.

Well if it is printing, the drivers are working fine. The copying, faxing and scanning mechanism use the same scanner to copy the image. It seems to be a problem with the scanner mechanism on the printer.Try a reset using the # and 6 buttons while plugging in the power cord.If it works well and good.If you want any further support, an online technician from techbuddies can help you for free. For this log on to http://tinyurl.com/m7ghqz
