SOURCE: Bought the Q7 mic .. doesn't work with my G-Dec Junior Fender Amp

If your amp has 2 inputs, you will need to rewire your standard mike cable as follows. Go to http://s3.amazonaws.com/samsontech/related_docs/Q7_ownman_v1s.pdf for the wiring diagram. If you aren't comfortable with doing this go to a music store and explain your problem and ask if they have a low to high impedance adapter with an XLR on one end and a 1/4" plug on the other. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Digitech Vocalist Live 4 blead through

I'm having a similar problem with my Sterling audio ST-55 mic and a acoustic guitar. I regenerates the signal and sounds like it's under water. I turned down the mic input knob on the back of the unit until I got a clean sound. The only down downside to this is you have to practically eat the mic.
As for solution #1... Another mic choice will do the trick. But the other technique with putting a wall between your guitar and mic doesn't sound like it would work if you are sitting in front of your digital recorder with a mic in front of you and a guitar in you lap.

Brand new ag30 when I plug my mic sm58 into it all I get is static no sound as in singing comes through it I'm using a XLR to quarter brand new lead.. Have tried everything when I hit the tip of mic sound...

You should be using XLR to XLR cable, NOT a 1/4 inch cable. There is a problem of the 1/4 inch being the unbalanced version and is not compatible with this unit's input.

Use the XLR to XLR mic cable and it will work fine.

The cable you have would work for one of those cheap Karaoke machines...

How can I connect my hsm mic to gh3 world tour?

You can use any mic that has a usb plug, you can also use the usb mic on your pc too. You will not be able to the mic with GH3, because GH3 does not offer band multiplay, you will need to get GH World Tour or a GH track pack. You can also use the guitars from GH for all the Rockband series too. So having the mic already, all you would have to do (if it has the usb) is connect it to the usb plug in the front of your console. I assume your using the PS2 b/c of the pic. You can also use the drums and mic from PS2 with a PS3. You can't use the guitar from PS2 for PS3 unless you buy this wire that converts the controller plug to usb, on ebay they are $4-$5, obviously a lot cheaper than buyer another guitar @ $40-$50. This info should help and may answer some future questions as well. Good luck.

Logitech 9000 recording problem

My suggestion for recording music of any sort is to disable the cam mic and use a good quality mic plugged into the sound card as the mic in a cam is more suited to voice.

I cant hook up mic and guitar same time

get a 1/8" stereo to mono splitter from radio shack or the like. it should have 1 1/8"male end, and two female ends, you could possibly get a 1/8" male with 2 1/4" female connectors, or use an all 1/4 inch adapter, with a 14/ to 1/8 adapter on the male end.

this should divide the guitar and vocals into left and right channels.

Digitech Vocalist Live 4 blead through

You need a directional microphone, and then it needs to be pointed away from the guitar. Another technique would be to provide some acoustic insulation between the mic and the guitar, like a wall or a partition like what is used to set up office cubicles.

ok, heres what try contacting the support line on your samson mic and ask the setup if you are going to connect an acoustic guitar, there might be some info for it. actually there is here check this out

Acoustic Guitar
There are a variety of ways that the G Track can be used to mic an acoustic guitar. The
microphone placement will depend on the type of instrument and what kind of sound
you’re looking to capture, for example the tonal quality you want to focus on, and how
much finger slide or pick noise you may or may not want. When miking a standard
steel string acoustic, a good place to start is with the microphone positioned pointing
towards the end of the fingerboard at a distance of about 6 inches to 2 feet away from
the instrument. You can experiment by moving the microphone slightly in the direction
of the sound hole, which will produce more low frequencies, or move it in the direction
of the fingerboard to capture more high-end or to remove any unwanted boominess.
For nylon string acoustic, try positioning the microphone above the bridge to emphasize
more of the attack from the sound of the finger picking, or for less, move the mic closer
to the sound hole. If you have a pair of G Tracks, try one positioned at the fingerboard
and the second over the sound hole.
