Try turning the oven tempurature all the way to the right (past clean). That is what unlocks mine.

SOURCE: jenn air s136 stove won,t self clean

You've probably already read pages 34 through 37 of the owners manual for this oven. We had this stove in the house we bought and the owner wrote in his own directions, which seem to work fine:

1. Turn knob selector to clean.
2. Turn temp knob to clean.
3. Close and lock door.
4. Push enter button and turn dial clockwise to desired time.
5. Push enter button again.

You've probably already tried this, but just in case I figured I'd pass it along.

SOURCE: Oven won't lock and self clean.

Shut off the oven for at least a minute and turn it on, set the clock, and it worked. I had tried a short power cycle before and it didn't fix it. The extended power cycle did the trick.

We used the self cleaning option and now we cannot get the oven door open. The lever is stuck in lock mode. Can you give suggestion?

Hello,

IF you can locate the model number tag (bottom left of door opening) you can look up the manual at www.geappliances.com

The only button on your stove that should make the door lock would be the clean button (self clean model) if that is pressed simply hit the clear/off or cancel key and wait for the door to unlock.

IF the self clean option ran for an hour or so, you will have to wait for the oven to cool down before the lock can unlock (safety feature)

Thank you and thanks for using fixya

Jenn-Air stove locked

After the lock indicator light goes out, move the door lock lever to the left. The oven door can now be opened. Turn the selector and temperature knobs from clean to off AFTER THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED. If the temperature knob is turned to off BEFORE the door is unlocked, the door will not open. Forcing the lock will damage the lock mechanism. If this should happen, return the temperature knob back to CLEAN, unlock the door, THEN turn the temperature knob off. Maryann, try shutting the breaker off for 5 minutes and see if the door unlocks. Im assuming the oven has cooled down. If that doesn't work try holding the cancel and broil pads for 3 seconds. This will put it into the quik test mode. Once in this mode press the clean button. This should toggle between lock and unlock. Don't know if this will work for you but it's worth a try..Catriver...post back.
