Are you taking pictures in "Raw" quality? This can be found on your camera, or your picture details. If you are shooting in RAW then you can not view your pictures without software.
Enless you have something like a Superzoom or Digital SLR, you probably won't get the option of shooting in RAW.
Also, how large are the files you cannot read? If they are RAW files, they should be as large in mega bytes as your camera is in mega pixels.

How to transfer the photos from camera to computer?

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing in transferring images from the Camera to the Computer. Once you connect the Camera to the computer, you will get the Camera as a removable drive under My Computer. You can open the removable drive to see the pictures stored in the Camera/Memory Card.

If the Operating System installed in your Computer still needs a driver, you may use the Memory Card slot on the Computer to transfer the pictures. Please follow the steps to transfer pictures using Memory Card Reader in the Computer:

- Remove the Memory Card from the Camera.

- Insert it in the Memory Card slot in the Computer.

- Open the pop up window or find out the removable drive under My Computer.

- Copy the required files to a folder in the Computer.

DCIM folder contains the images.

Note : Most of the Notebooks comes with its own Memory Card Slot. If it does not, you may get one from the market without much spending.

Thanks for understanding.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Somehow i got my camera to save some picture in the internal memory, how do i get to the other pictures that aren't saved in the internal memory? how do i get out of the internal memory?

Just had to do this on my mom's Nikkon last night. The easiest way to get the pictures off both the internal memory and the memory card is to connect your camera to your computer. Use Windows Explorer or Computer to locate your camera, and double-click on your camera's icon to open it up.
If you have both internal memory and a memory card installed, it should show the size and available space for each memory type. Double-click on one of those memory types and you will see a folder called DCIM. Open the DCIM folder and you will see all the photos you've taken. Select them, then copy them to the folder on your computer where you want them. Go back and open the other memory type, and do the same thing.
Once the pictures from both memory types have been copied over, you can delete them.
Sorry, I can't help with how to set your camera to use the memory card first; there should be a setting in your camera's menu that lets you choose where to store your photos. On my mom's camera she had the option of "Auto" or "Internal Memory" - not exactly clear, but the "Auto" option was the one that let her use the memory card for storage.

Download pictures from camera to laptop without the memory card

On the camera menu, select USB mode. Select PC. Connect the camera to your computer. The camera will be recognized as a mass storage device. You can open the camera's file within Windows Explorer and copy the files to the location of your chosing. The pictures will be located under the folder DCIM.

My memory card is full and I want to transfer to my computer. I tried to transfer to internal memory but it says there isn't enough space. Anyway to transfer all at once instead of tagging individual...

Connect you camera to the computer using the USB cable. It will be shown as a removable drive(If the autorun is enabled windows should list the option to transfer pictures.Choose this option if it does so). Open the drive and and transfer the pictures to your computer.

Hope this helps,
Sai.

What is a DCIM FILE, How can I convert Into a dcim file. I would like to copy picture in my Camera it is copying but when I run the camera shows no picture.

The DCIM file is the folder is the folder which images or pictures taken are saved. Inside the DCIM folder should be should be one or more folders. The picture files are stored in one of these two folders. Look for the filenames that end in .jpg or something like DSC0001.JPG or DSC0002.JPG.

When you plugged in your camera to your computer's usb device, right click on your Start button, and choose Explore. The windows explorer window will open. Click on the (-) beside My Computer and the (-) beside Local Drive C: to minimize the list of folders. Now, you should be looking at the drive letter that defines your Camera. It could be drive E or F. Click on that drive and it will show your the contents on your right panel. Look for those folders and copy them to your local drive.

If you need further assistance, dont hesitate to ask or comment back.

Goodluck!
