It has disabled the ability to go to links via outlook. Unfortunately the only real way to fix this is to back up your outlook data and then uninstall outlook. Then reinstall it from the CD or disc that you have...

It is part of the program now and can't be reset without re-installation.

Please let me know if you have comments or questions or need help with any of this, just reply to my answer here and I can help you for sure.

Thanks
Tim

You can actually get the new beta for free, Office 2010 professional. It will work for a few months for free and then will give you the option to buy it at a discount when you are done. I would definitely try this, it is the easiest way to go and you don't need to worry about backing up, all your data will be there when you are done:

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try/tr...

Just create a free account there and download the trial... you are not required to buy it when you are done.

Wow really?! That is very strange. And you just ran PC Tools on the computer, you did not install it, correct? Please verify, is it still installed or was it just run as an evaluator?

Please let me know, sorry about all that,

    Tim

Ok there is a utility to fix this actually, you should be able to leave PC Tools on your computer and just download and run this... just go through the steps this utility gives you... it will do everything automatically. If you can handle installing office 2010 (which you definitely can it appears) then this will be very simple:

    Thanks much,

This is a reply to your last comment:
I guess you don't install a CD/DVD burner (program), there are several ways to write or burn CDs/DVDs in windows vista. The easiest method is to use the Windows built-in Wizard to burn CDs/DVDs.
First of, get a Blank DVD or a Blank CD, insert the Disk into the DVD/CD-Drive, and follow the instructions here (Click Here).

There are still many options, simply right-click the files, in your case, Ms-office 2010, and select "burn to disk", wait for few minutes while the files are being copied and insert the blank disk, when you open the CD/DVD Rom drive from the My Computer, it should show the files to be written as shortcuts, select all the files and click "Write these files to the CD/DVD" and follow the onscreen instructions.

Note: For your easy reference, you better write down the Product Key on the CD/DVD with a Marker.
You can select any speed, but the slower the better and so takes more time writing the files.
If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

How to open Outlook 2010 email files backed up to a CD?

You will need to import the data from the PST file back into outlook . It should go into a personal folder
After this process you can then copy the files into your email inbox or leave them in a personal folder or create a personal folder on a server mapped drive and then import email data to this folder so it gets backed up hopefully on the server. If you bak up the server..

I would like to down load oulook express to do my e mails on my note boo I am 70 years old and a little slow with some of these things, I am trying to link this with my desk top up stairs

Understanding and using Microsoft Outlook Express - Download and Install What is Outlook Express? - Free email client Outlook Express is an email client. In non-technical terms, it is a program that lets you send and receive emails from your computer. It is one of the most popular email clients in the world simply because it comes free with Internet Explorer (and the Windows operating system). Now Internet Explorer comes bundled with Windows which is the most popular operating system and it soon became the browser of choice on most desktops since it had some great features when compared to its nearest competition, Netscape Navigator (at that time). So as Internet Explorer became popular the usage of Outlook Express as the default email client increased to make it the leading email program on the Internet.
From where do I get Outlook Express? - It's a free download If you don't have Outlook Express, you can simply download the latest version of Internet Explorer. Outlook Express email client will be installed on your system once you install the browser.
Outlook Express Homepage - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/oe/.
What does Outlook Express actually do? Outlook Express allows you send and receive emails from your computer. The good thing about Outlook Express (or any decent email client from that matter), is that it lets you store the sent and received emails on your system. Thus, Outlook Express acts like a emailing center via which you send, receive, store and collate emails.
What is the difference between Outlook Express and Outlook? Outlook Express, as I mentioned, comes free with Internet Explorer or Windows operating system. It's a lean and mean email client. Microsoft Outlook on the other hand is an email client but comes at a price. To justify the cost of the software, Microsoft Outlook has tons of features and functionalities which are not present in Outlook Express.
How is Outlook Express different from an online email service? The difference between Outlook Express and an online email service such as GMail, Hotmail, Yahoo! etc. is that it lets you browse, read and compose emails from your computer even when you are not connected to the net. To download emails, you do need to connect to the Internet. Email messages are actually stored on your system, so, you can still read the emails you have received and sent in the past. An online email service works ONLY when you are connected to the net.
Another great feature of Outlook Express (and any other email client worth its salt), is that it lets you read and write emails at your leisure. Let us say you are traveling from Philadelphia to Chicago. You download all your emails via Outlook Express in Philadelphia and then board the flight to Chicago. Now when you open your laptop on the plane and start Outlook Express, you can not only read emails but also write replies and compose new emails. Outlook Express will store all these replies and new emails on your system. Now when you arrive at Chicago, connect to the Internet and open Outlook Express, the program will send the stored email messages.
Outlook Express also lets you segregate email messages into folders. For example, all new emails are stored in the Inbox folder, the emails which you have sent to people will be stored in the Sent Items folder and any emails that have yet to be sent are stored in the Outbox folder. In addition to these three folders, Outlook Express has two more folders. These are the Drafts and Deleted Items folders. The Drafts folder stores email messages that you have composed and saved while the Deleted Items folder contains all the deleted emails. [Note: in order to completely delete the emails from your system you need to empty the Deleted Items folder.]
You can also create folders inside the Inbox folder to further segregate email messages.
FYI, you can configure Outlook Express to segregate incoming email into different folders using rules and filters. For example, potential spam can be junked directly into the Deleted Items folder.
What kind of email accounts can I use in Outlook Express? Outlook Express can be used for any POP3 or IMAP email account. POP3, which stands for Post Office Protocol 3, is a set of rules with which one accesses and downloads emails. IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) is a set of rules with which emails are assessed.
If you have a web site hosted on a server, most likely the hosting package would come with a few POP3 email accounts. Thus, yourname@yourdomain.com would most likely be a POP3 email.
Can I receive emails from online email services in Outlook Express? Online email services such as Gmail provide free POP3 access to the email account; you should read configure Gmail account on Outlook Express if you want step-by-step instructions on how to do that. Hotmail used to have this feature but it has since discontinued it. Other popular online emails services might charge a small fee for POP3 access.

Serial number outlook repair 1.5

R-Mail for Outlook Express is a tool designed to undelete accidentally deleted Outlook Express e-mail messages and recover damaged *.dbx files where Outlook Express stores folders with email messages. The messages are recovered in the .eml format and can be simply imported into Outlook Express mail and news bases.
R-Mail for Outlook Express Demo limitations do not allow you to save found messages and view them in Outlook Express but using the Demo you can backup the *.dbx message bases and then use the commercial R-Mail version for complete recovering contained messages. Microsoft Vista OS is supported.

Outlook 2007 Windows Vista will not allow hyperinks

Hello,

You might find the answer to your question here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA012299621033.aspx

In short:

Stop disabling links and functionality in all messages

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. On the Preferences tab, under E-mail, click Junk E-mail.
3. Clear the Disable links and other functionality in phishing messages (recommended) check box.

Note If you decide to select this check box later, Outlook will disable all the links in messages that were evaluated as suspicious by the Junk E-mail Filter, and you will receive warnings about suspicious links.

Also read the complete topic. There is some interesting stuff inside..
