Hi, try first checking speakers one at a time, secondly try swapping the speakers, temporarily.

if problems persist there might be problems inside the unit, you might need a signal tracer to trace where the signal tends to have a weak amplification.

There is also a possibility the VAS circuit of the main amp has deteriorated or partially misbehaving which you have call in a electronic tech to check out for repairs....

There should be a temp sensor for the fan inline with the fuse block. Sounds like the sensor is reading improperly and needs to be replaced.

My fender frontman 15r guitar amp has too much of a bass sound on e-a-d but too high on g-b-e I'm using a silvertone guitar with a 5 way switch how can I get goo clean sounds for country and blues?

As a guitar tech I suggest that you simply lower the pickup height on the low strings [by turning the height screws clockwise] then the low strings will blend better with the high strings. With a 5-way switch try the 2nd and 4th positions for a more out-of-phase twang too! Good Luck.

I just bought a Behringer K3000FX amp and it sounds GREAT with my keyboard. However, just bought a Shure SM48S voice mic and it just doesn't come thru the amp with much volumn...have to turn amp

Greetings! Ok, your amp has an XLR (3-prong) Low-Impedance input on Channel 1 for a Mic. All the other inputs are 1/4" High Impedance inputs, which are for instruments and/or other High Impedance items including low quality High Impedance Microphones. The SM48S is a high quality Low Impedance microphone, so if you use it with a 1/4" plug, it will be in a High Impedance channel, and will be very LOW in volume in comparison with everything else. So, you must use an XLR (3 prong) cable from the Mic to the Channel 1 input on your amp. That will do the trick. Good Luck with your new amp and Mic!

Amp powers up, gets sound, but it stays at low volume no matter how high you turn it up. Tubes all checked good.

Check loudspeaker is not seized, by gently moving cone to and fro. If it is very stiff, chances are that it has been overloaded and seized. Test this by substituting it with a known good speaker.

Amp blowing fuses

Your amp is blowing fuses to protect your circuit. The type of 12V battery does not matter. For whatever reason you are over driving the amp. 2 Ohms sounds like a very low impedance for a car amplifier output. I am assuming you have the two 12" speakers wired in parallel. Most are rated at 4 Ohms which means you are pulling twice the current with the 2 Ohm load. Also, the bigger the speaker, the bigger the magnet, the bigger the coil, the larger the inductance, the heavier the load. Make sure these speakers are matched with your amp. A small amp driving large speakers will shut down at high volumes. Try putting them in different channels. Good Luck.

Amplifiers GT Series GT5-A604 ........explain settings

the amp probably has a x-over knob, a bass boost knob, and an eq knob. the eq is probably an internal crossover switch that will take the output from either high range (tweeters) or full range (6x9s) or low pass (subs) leave it on low pass. the bass boost however, will add distortion if turned up too high. its not noticable in the car, actually it sounds louder in the car but if you open the trunk and listen, you can tell its distorted bass and actually frying your speakers. the x-over knob is used to tune the frequency at which the amp stops pushing out bass tones. if you like rock music loud, turn it up higher, if you like low deep rap bass, turn it lower. keeping it too high might give you bad sound from either type though. ALSO THE GAIN OR LEVEL.IT IS NOT TO MAKE YOUR SUBS LOUDER IT WILL BLOW THEM .the gain is used to set your amp to your head unit which there is a procedure to do it.

If the sub has a volume control, turn it down then turn up the volume on the amp to the very high volume you mentioned. If it still has very low muffled sound, then we know the problem is about the amp.
