I recently had an new radio installed with an ipod dock in my car. After the install I noticed that the left front speaker was not working. I am relatively sure it was working before. Is this a speaker problem or a wiring problem?

Amazon.com, Inc.When searching for cd player with ipod dock products, Amazon customers prefer the ...Sony ZSS3IPN Lightning iPhone/iPod Portable CD Radio Boombox Speaker Dock (Black) .... Even on the highest volume, the sound does not crack.
if yes then look under ballance and check theat rear and front ballance is in the middle if it is then for temporarily replace the front speaker with any old speaker if that works then you need new front speakers if no then the radio is broken
but what you could do is rewire the back speakers so they also play though the front ones too this can be done from behind the radio
find the rear right positive and negative wires strip the insulation but dont cut the copper wire cut the front right speaker and attach that to the rear speaker wire do this for both positive and negative
rear right positive ..v ..v I...I I...I I...I .I.I..........< strip cable but do not cut metal .I.I..______________ .I.I=_______________ <<<front right positive .I.I I...I I...I I...I I...I

I would recommend taking it back to the pro that installed it given it hasn't been to long. Also the deck should be warrantied and if the front side is not working I would consider that a faulty head unit. I know Nakamichi head units are not cheap.
Go back to the store you purchases it from or contact Nakamichi directly at the link below:
what is happening on the display is the laser reading the disc if its not reading the disc your cd player is faulty more than likely the laser is either dirty or had its day, make sure there is compatible music data on the disc, also check all the sound options on the stereo.
try this to see if the right wires are there it normally cost about 130 to get a professional to do it
