You might have bashed up the inside a bit. I f you still have warranty then I sugesst getting it replaced. if not then there two things that you can do.
1. If you are willing to risk the ds then take it apart and see if anything is broken. if it is a disconnected wire then just do it yourself. However, if it is something more serious then take the action below.
2. If you are willing to spend some money then you can pay up to $100 to get it fixed by a pro.

If the unit does not turn on at all (no green light) then the chances are you have blown the F2 fuse...
This fuse is internal and is less than 2mm wide on its longest length.
If you have a warranty I would suggest you send it off for repair, if not you can either find a good repair service on the net (such as ebay) or repair it yourself.
If you do decide to go down the D.I.Y route you will need a few specialist tools and some good soldering skills. As I said before the fuse is very small and so you will need a steady hand to replace it.
All the tools and parts can be found on ebay... If you would like some info on where the fuse is, what tools you will need and how to go about replacing it then click on my name to get to my profile page... from there you will see a list of guides I have written, all the info you should need will be in them.
If you need any further help or advice please feel free to contact me and I will help you out as best I can.
Last time I had this I had to change the motherboard, tried for hours to find the fault. motherboards are about £50 if you have to resort to it. Make sure you are buying an original nintendo and not a copy
You need to send it to a repair shop or nintendo as the fall has knocked out a fuse or damaged the power button or battery area, it will be one of the above if there is no power at all going to the little green and red led lights on the top right corner.
