When a TV shuts off it usually means one of two things.

1) It's circuitry is protecting itself from heat, in this case it could be something as simple as opening up the TV and blowing out the dust.

2) It's circuitry is not receiving enough power to start the TV. This could be more difficult to diagnose. You could start by examining the circuits to look for any obvious burnt out or broken components. If you do find something of the sorts then you could try to source out a replacement for that specific board. If nothing obvious is wrong then some testing of individual components is required. Often it's a diode that is faulty, you can test these by using a multimeter, there should be very little resistance in one direction and very high resistance in the other direction. Use your multimeter to test this resistance than switch the probes to test the diode in the other direction. If you find a diode that has the same resistance in both direction replace it with a part from an electronics supply store. Diodes are usually marked by D and a number on the silk screening of the PCBs, for examble D10.

It would help if you could provide the correct model number of your TV and a description of the sounds the TV makes when you try to start it and the status of the LEDs on the TV as it tries to turn on then shuts off. You should also try a different electrical outlet and eliminate any power bars or UPS's you have the TV plugged into to make sure they are not causing your problems.

may be it is shutting off to protect itself from any kind of short circuits.

this can be due to some kind of short in your power board which makes the relay trip and shut off the unit.

    thank you

Hello

You mostly see this when the bulb is bad. I dont remember the tech answer however changing the bulb fixes 95 percent of them. It is possible your power supply is going bad as well, but you would probably see problems trying to get the tv to come on.

Good Luck
