Question about Windchaser CWH88L Ceramic Baseboard Heater

Open Question

Windchaser fan Hi, I lost the remote control to our Windchaser stand fan. When I tried to turn it on manually, it was stuck in "standby" and would not work. If I had the remote, would it turn on and if so how could I get a replacement? Is there some other way to fix the problem. Thanks.

I have the same problem, and from what I'm reading on the web, so do other people. I have an FTR-184 floor fan and it is stuck. I have the remote and it doesn't help. I have emailed and called Windchaser many times with no response, whatsoever. (I would almost start to think that this is a built in issue to make you buy another). I will never buy another Windchaser, and I will list my opinion on epinions just to help others. Their customer service is useless. If anyone has a fix I would be happy to know.

Vulcan ducted heating system 530 E (5 years old) have replaced AAA batteries on remote control but still not working. Thanks Michael

You have to recode the remote to the heater if the batteries have been removed for more than 3 minutes. On the comfort control will the remote is in a off state turn the heater off at the power.

While off press and hold the up button and the on/off until code appears then release buttons and turn the power back on to the heater.

When code disappears from the remote turn on the remote set the temp higher than current temp and combustion fan should start up then heater will fire up.

If not repeat process as they are easily corrupted by other remotes.

Download control manual from - http://www.bonaire.com.au/support/documentation/owner/default.aspx

Set / check fan speed or it may overheat.

Reiker ceiling fan - does not turn on - theres is power to unit - maybe remmote is bad? how do i change code

Before trying to change the code, have you tried changing the batteries? Both in the hand held remote and the one in fan housing? If so, and that didn't help, make sure the batteries are turned in the right direction and fitting tightly.

Will the fan operate without using the remote control?

Fan stops and heater continues to heat.

Hi, If the main fan stops blowing air but the burners continue to stay on and not shut off, this is dangerous. It sounds as though the fan control combination limit switch is faulty or stuck. The burners should shut off before the fan. If this unit only has a high limit for safety, it should shut the burners off when it reaches a predetermined temperature to keep the unit from burning up. That's why these safetys are in place. If your furnace has the combination fan/limit control, and it is stuck or has failed, this will cause the burners to run. I would turn the main gas off until the problem is found, or kill the power. Can you give me the age of the system, and model, serial numbers and the name of the heater? This would be of help. I would be very careful if you use it if its very cold where you are, and turn it on and off as needed. Do not go to sleep with it doing this for your safety, please. Get back to me if you will.
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7
