Question about Lexmark Printers & Copiers
The printer and other peripherals comunicate with a computer via a small program or softwarecalled a "driver". You first need to go the manufacturers website "like www.hp.com" and go to their support page. Here you can locate the newest release of their drivers. You will need to locate the correct driver by looking for your printers model driver and it might specify your operating system "like Windows XP". Follow the instructions on how to install the driver because it might or might not require you to uninstall your current driver. If there are no instructions on how to install the driver, then follow the recomendations of going to the printers properties and deleting the printer. After this isdone, go ahead and install the new driver by runing the self executabe file that you just downloaded. Restart your PC and your printer should pick up the new driver. If it does not, then when you get a message that asks you to locate the driver, simply browse your way to the location of the downloaded files. I know this can be kinda confusing but inthe end it will save you $
