I hope its still under warranty coz it looks like the leds could be busted. if ur real techie you could try cleaning it with a lens cleaner or by taking it apart and cleaning it with a q-tip.

try reinstalling the software again and full install it and then restart your PC and if it shows the same message then be sure that it is not the genuine software. OK
THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM TO EVERYBODY.ONLY ONE WAY IS TO CONNECT YOUR MICROSD USING CARD READER TO YOUR SYSTEM.
YOU CANT GET YOUR DATAS AGAIN.BUT SD CARD WITT MEMORY SPACE. ONLY WAY TO RECOVER IS FORMATING YOUR SD CARD . SORRY ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE LOST. I ASK YOU NEVER TO ASSIGN MEMEORY CARD PASSWORD ON ANY MOBILE BECAUSE IT WILL SURELY CAUSE PROBLEM EVEN WHEN PASSWORD IS RIGHT
hi i have the same problem with my ps3 60gb i rang sony and they told me to restore it so i did but it didnt work so then they told me to do a full system restore but just as i was about to confirm it i asked will this delete all of my data and they said yes and they told me how to save all my data (over 30 games of data) onto 8gb memory stick so i backed up all my data then i did a full system restore i am just waiting 3 hours. they said if it still doesent work they will send me a brand new 60gb ps3 so at the moment i want a brand new ps3 so fingers crossed mine is totally fu%&*d but i hope this helps everybody and p.s. dont try fixing this yourself because you wont ever get a 60gb again and you will have to pay a lot for a new ps3 and i might be getting a 60 gb ps3 for free :) once i have restored it i will update you by tonight.

Hi there. Update Adobe flash player and try to connect again.
Get Adobe Flash player here >>>>>
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Also please be aware that not all channels seem to connect even though your steaming media player says that its ready, some channels play, others don't so its not always the media players at fault.
If the warranty is still intact, Sony can fix it. If not, open the ps3, open the blu-ray drive and clean the laser. If that doesnt work, replace the laser.
HI Matt of south Africa
