Hi,

Here is a tip that I wrote about the Paslode nailers and the problems that can come up with them.

I also have a link to the Paslode manuals which contain Paslode cleaning and troubleshooting guides.

If you need parts for your Paslode, there also is a link for a site that sells the Paslode nailer parts.

Paslode F16 finish nailer will not return to start position after firing. Need to pull it back.

You may have to disassemble it BUT it may be that the mechanism and sliding parts are dry and stuck with glue from nails etc so may also work to apply a rust solvent to the sliding parts and let it sit and work the nailer a bit etc.

Manual for 350/90 nail gun

If this is a paslode as it says in the header, you can try going to paslode.com and downloading one. If not I would need the brand and model number to help. If you have a problem still finding one let me know and I will try another source.

Paslode t250 f16 leaks air from the cap difuser

The most common problem with this nailer is the plastic seal that sits on top of the cylinder. This seal (ususlly white, yellow or black in color ) will cause the nailer to leak lots of air out top of gun. Examine seal for cracks and replace as necessary; the part number is 402725 and is available at www.toolpartsdirect.com This should stop the rapid air leak. After installing the new seal, if you have a very small constant leak out top of the gun then remove the screw holding the headvalve in place and check for small scratches where the orings contact headvalve. Use very fine sandpaper (300 to 400 grit) to remove scratches. Clean and re-use the same orings using silicone grease instead of oil and re-assemble. This should stop all leaks. Silicone grease is available at Lowes lumber in the plumbing department. It is used to lube orings in faucets. If you have more questions about this gun please email, Good Luck
