Kodak digital camera

Will not charge when connected to my computer. Do I need to replace the battery, I have only had the camera six months and used only a few times. I thought the battery charged through the computer connection?

Camera will not charge through USB interface, only DC input jack or camera dock.

If you really left the batteries alone for 6 years without regularly charging them, they won't work anymore. I still have two KLIC 500 batteries from Kodak, which I bought in 2005, Both are in very good condition, because the both get a charge every 3 months, even in periods I did not use my camera.
You could try. charging the batteries several times, but don't have to high expectations.

NiMH batteries do not have memory effect. However, unlike NiCads, new batteries...

I'm not certain which camera models this applies to, but definitely quite a few:
Many of the camera makers to not emphasize that after your rechargeables become low, you still have to use the "discharge" function while in your camera, to drain them adequately, prior to recharging. Otherwise, the "memory" in the battery on how much charge it can take gets lower and lower. If that has happened, try the "discharge" function, which will restore full charge capability

How do u charge a kodak 7.2 camera, using the usb chord connected to the computer?

Use the USB cord to connect the camera to a powered USB port on a computer. Do not connect it through a USB hub. Be aware that not all computer USB ports put out enough current to charge the batteries.

My Kodak Easyshare V1233 will only power up when plugged into the wall charger. Even after staying on the charger it will not power on unless plugged in.

Kodak has 3 types of charger that can be connected to a wall socket
USB AC Adapter - is especially useful when traveling, away from your computer, or just plain on-the-go. Connect your camera's USB cable to the adapter and plug it into a wall outlet to conveniently charge your camera.
5V AC Adapter - Provides in-camera charging for all KODAK EASYSHARE M and V Series Digital Cameras
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 5.0 V
3V AC Adapter - Provides direct power to your camera but it will not charge the camera battery
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 3.0 V

* You need to check the type of adapter your using. If your using the 5V AC adapter or USB adapter and the camera won't charge the battery contact kodak support line 1 800 235 6325 (23KODAK) for possible repair.
