Question about Dyson DC18 all floors Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum
The dc18 does ideed have a reset button to protect the direct drive motor,no belts involved at all.
found it last night problem now solved.

I don't believe the Dyson has a reset button. if the brush doesn't turn when the handle is down then you may have a broken belt. there are 2 belts on the vacuum, the one from motor to clutch can be replaced from under the vac. the belt from brush roll to clutch is not available and must be replaced as a clutch ***'y.
