Question about Acer Aspire™ T180 PC Desktop
Okay so i just bought this computer almost two months ago. It has always worked great. For some weird reason yesterday when i went to turn it on it said that it was going to check disk drive C for errors. Then it said it was going to fix any problems that it found. Then it will go to a black screen that say microsoft corporation with the green scan bar moving. I did get my actual home screen to pop up with my icons on the left hand side, but my icons on the right wouldn't pop up and i couldn't do anything. The little circle above the arrow just kept spinning like it was still loading. I tried for 3 hours to figure it out and i can't. Could someone please help me!
Hi, I got a similar problem as yours -- new Acer desktop and worked fine for two months. Then one morning, blank with a prompt by Windows. Called up PC World and got it fixed over phone. Basically, it means that Windows Vista (which is on my computer) prevents my computer from booting up after I have loaded a software for my external drive. Not the computer fault, but instability of Vista.

Slow boot problems on any computers are due to 2 reasons :
(1) Hardware reasons and
(TRY THE SOLUTION MENTIONED FOR SOFTWARE FIRST, IF THAT DOES NOT HELP, ONLY THEN TRY THE HARDWARE SOLUTION)
HARDWARE REASONS> if your system has less RAM (memory) then it can cause slow boot up issues,
SOLUTION FOR HARDWARE > I recommend you to check the amount of memory on your system., to check the memory on your system , click on start , then "right click" on "my computer " icon and select properties.. on the screen you will the the amount of RAM installed. I recommend 1 GB of RAM on a computer.
SOFTWARE REASONS> These can be a problem with the windows XP operating system.
