Rechargeable batteries don't last forever, unfortunately. Lithium ones in particular can have their life shortened if you allow them to discharge completely. This camera uses np-60 (Fuji type) batteries. I recently bought a couple of these off Amazon (Polaroid branded!) for less than one pound ($2) each, so there's your solution!

Will not hold charge

If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

Hi, It almost sounds like the battery won't hold a charge anymore which means you need a new battery. Since the camera isn't quite a year old yet I'd suggest contacting Nikon and seeing if they'll do anything for you before you buy a new battery.

The light at the bottom right is just telling you it's looking at the memory card. My canon batteries are about two years old and are due for replacement because they are not holding charge very well. Unfortunately all rechargeable batteries eventually lose their ability to hold charge

Is there a way to reset the Poloroid DVC-00725F, I seem to have lost my menus, just a black box appears with no text ?

Well, it didn't fix my camera, but when I plug it in to the USB port, and hold down Enter, Play, Record, and the Pic/Shutter top button simultaneously for 5 seconds or so when the camera boots, it goes into test mode. At which time it goes through tests, but doesn't really fix anything. Good luck to you.
It should say: pcba test program 2 times d50h-polaroid-g0911n
then prompt you to hit the power button

How do the videos look when you download them to your computer ? If they are OK there, then they are recording fine, it is just in-camera playback that is the issue.

Digital rebel battery drain with flash only

I would suspect the batteries

Ive got an eos Rebel think its just over 4 years old
for the last year its been used every weekend for several hours 300+ pics per weekend between 2 nights I found that recently where one battery would last a night the battery was running out midway through & also taking longer to charge afterwards

2 after market replacements cost me about £10 and things are back to normal

5 years is a pretty good lifespan for a battery so its probably just getting old
