The problem of reading, insert disk, is that the mechanism of the player ....the problem is not on the lens its in your player mechanism. I suggest you that, in the mechanism which the lens are moving if u see a roller that is the problem and its already in dirt and dust..u better clean that by using a lighter fluid and then take the old grease change it with new one with good quality..after that it will be okay.

For many years I bought the CD-R Audio. Special optimized for my Philips recorder (record/rewriteable). Now suddenly my shop tells me that these disks are not langer available. I'm desperate! Please...

Your shop is FOS. What's so special about them regarding YOUR recorder? CDR-A's that conform to the Philips standard are very common.

Web search "cdr audio". I buy mine in bulk on eBay.

My DVD player keeps saying loading for long periods even after I have ran cleaner highend TDK disk cleaner then it says no disk? with clean un tainted disk loaded?

The Laser has either Failed or is Failing (is it a Philips by any chance as these are normally the worst for failing). It may still play CDs but I think you've had it with DVDs.

Depending on your Technical ability you could look at replacing the Laser yourself, but most are not cost effective to buy and some aren't even available. What make and model is it?

I'VE PHILIPS D573 DVD HI FI MINI SYSTEM WHEN I INSERT THE DISC IT IS NOT WORKING GIVE INDICATION THAT NO DISC

Your disk could be scratched. You can try and resurface it. You may try to clean the disk as well. Also if a burned the DVD some players will not play every format. Are you getting the same response from several DVD's? If so then I recommend getting a good DVD lens cleaner disk and running it through a time or two or even three if it has been a while since it has been cleaned. Good luck.

My TEAC DR-H300 HDMI is reading discs intermitently, i.e. sometimes it does, most times it doesn't. Once I insert the disc and close the tray it stays with the message LOAD and nothing else happens. Could...

The usual cause of this is the optical disk itself. Either the media has defects that your player doesn't like, or the codec needed to 'read' the disk is missing or unknown. Try playing a standard DVD from the music store. If that plays ok, you may need to upgrade your firmware. New firmware should be available from the maker's web site.

Either the optics have failed or the lens is dirty. Try opening up the unit and cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Basically the unit can not read the disk and is requesting that you insert one. If the cleaning fails to resolve the problem, you will need to have the optics replaced.
