Faded printing when I scan and print on my cannon mp160 it looks fine but when I try to print a saved picture or a picture from an e-mail it is so faded you can hardly see. Yes I have put in new ink cartridges.

Check the settings in the printer properties and see if you have selected economy print..If you have, try switching to high quality..

Why an Inappropriate rating? Thats a negative rating. If the solution I provided didnt work, please post back with the steps you have taken, and I can try to assist you further. Its not always possible to troubleshoot and get a fix on the very first response :)

BTW, have you tried reinstalling the software/driver?

MP 160 Cannon Printer Won't Scan

try checking if you have completely installed all the drivers for your printer. scanning and copying dont usually needs drivers because you can do that even without a computer. but scanning requires your scanner to be read by your pc. try checking for the scanner driver from the cd that came from your printer.

Canon mp160 faded picture

Check the Print Setup settings in the application you are printing from, typically found in the File menu, or click the Properties button in the Print dialog window. Check to see the settings for the printer. It may be set to Draft mode or may be set to the wrong type of paper. With inkjet printers it is especially important to select the correct paper type as this determines the quantity of ink delivered. Different paper has different spread of each ink droplet.
