Well, it's a THERMAL fuse and not one rated at amps...but temperature. I'm working on a value of temp that will work in reference to the 25 amps the round cylindrical fuse is rated at.(And the outside the unit re-settable circuit breaker.

1994 Jetta head lights fuse's are right but no lights

Check for voltage at the headlight connectors with the light switch turned on. If there is voltage but your lights do not illuminate, your bulbs are burned out. If there is no voltage, verify that there is supply voltage at the output of the light switch when lights are turned on. No output voltage, first check continuity between the switch and the lights, then check for voltage at the switch input. If there is input voltage but no output voltage, replace the switch. If there is no input voltage, check the wiring between the fuse panel and the switch.

Output voltage adjustment

Output voltage is based on 3600 rpm @ 60Hz. Sounds like your generator is over speeding slightly. Put a Frequency meter on the output of the generator and tune it to 61.5 Hz, that will get your generator in the 3600 RPM range.

There should be a small white ceramic block on the firewall - this component cuts the battery voltage from 12 to 9 volts for the coil and ignition system. It has 4 wires and is called a ballast resistor.
You may need a book with the wiring diagram to be able to test it. You should have battery voltage going in and something like 9 volts coming out.
You can also run a wire with a fuse from the battery to the positive side of the coil to check the system. Disconnect the factory wire from the coil first.

If you have a digital tester or analog try to check the voltage reading from the power supply if high or low or no supply.Check first following voltage location and section. * Check the AC voltage from ac cord to fuse and before the bridge type diode. * Check the DC voltage after the bridge type diode.if normal voltage. * Then check the voltage into the filter capacitor to regulator ic.the power ic.If theres a input voltage in the power ic,check the output voltage going to harizontal output. If no output the problem is you power output. You need to replace it.

My vizio gv42l fhdtv 10a picture flickers like a strobe light, on every input. had the tv since 08. inverter board? main board? Thanks Robert

you need to check first the power supply board whether the output supply 12-24vdc for the inverter board is stable and not flactuating..you can measure the output voltage with a multitester..you get a voltage output of 12-24 with the inverter board is connected or loaded to the system.be carefull of the high voltage at the inverter board..once the output is stable replace the inverter board or you can measure the output of the inverter be very carefull..the output range upto 500vac.be carefull..if the high voltage is stable replace the lamps...tnx and good luck..

No power whatever

Check voltage output of the power supply.
  1. If below the indicated voltage on the output terminals, replace the capacitors across the output terminals with the same specifications.
  2. If there's no voltage output at all and the fuse is intact, replace the 8-pin power regulator IC with same specifications.. It is usually DH321 IC.
