Electronic fault indicator light comes on, engine starts to race. If I stop engine and remove keycard reinsert and wait a few seconds before starting engine the alarm goes away and engine idles as normal.

I have the same problem.

hi have owned a renault laguna 1.8 petrol for three days, the electronic fault light has just come on and engine is stuck at 2000rpm. disconnected battery for two minutes then engine started as normal, now the windows don't work properly! any ideas before i pay Dales £75 an hour to tell me i have to remortgage my house to fix it.
