There should be two ways to format your Nokia 5300 Soft Reset:On the main menu, type in on your keypad the following combination: *#7780# - This option restores the .ini files from the ROM and will not erase data (photos, videos, documents) or applications that you installed Hard Reset(Factory Reset):
This will format the C: partition and deletes all data including the data store on the memory card. Key in *#7370# (this should be done on default screen)
Warning: Battery should be fully charged. If during the course of reset, the mobile stop receiving electricity it can ruin the internal flash memory of the mobile device and will stop functioning.
You can unlock by 2 methods
1)you can get master code from
superunlockcodes.com/unlocking-services/rs12wp6/ (You have to pay for these)
2)You can flash(format) your handset to reset code 12345
(formating delete all data including messages,contacts,etc... So i suggest you to back up all the files before formatting You can back up file using Nokia PC suit)
To back up your files

*open Nokia PC suit >Select Back up
To restore Backed up data
*Open PC suit>Tools tab>Restore>Select Restore>select a restore point(restore point is file in which all data's are saved)>Ok and wait for 5-10 mins.

You can format your mobile phone by pressing *#7780# or *#7370#on your mobile phone but remember that formatting will delete all the data of your mobile phone. Enter Default lock code is 12345. So take a backup of your mobile phone before formatting it. But it is Better to Flash the cell phone rather than formatting it. Take your cell phone to the mobile service center. They will format your cell phone properly.
instead of formatting give restore factory settings .... it will ask for security code ... give it .... this will reset the phone .... if you want to format means you need the DKU series cable with that they will provide software by using that you will able to flash(flashing means reinstalling software for ur cell ) , reset any code like security code, any password you have given and in case you have forgotten ... for this you must contact technician ... or you can buy the DKU cable and reset anything by yourself . it will cost near by 1500... one DKU cable can be used to reset many handsets............
